Not a problem at all. Helping friends gives a good feeling.

Thanks for your kind words.
What do you do to establish good communication with your
child?
Spending quality time with your child helps in establising good communication. Communication is a 2 way process which requires lot of listening, so be an active listener also, ask him about his day, school, friends and discuss his likes/dislikes and give him ample oppotunity to express his opinion, this helps in building self confidence also.
What are the restrictions put on your child by you and
why?
1. Never open the main door himself
2. Never go out alone.
3. Do not eat anything offered by strangers.
4.Never light gas stove
5. Do not touch the knife/match box/switchboards
5.Never walk on middle of road.
6. Sit in the backseat in car(well, this depends on his mood, sometimes he is adamant to sit in front only)
I dont think any of the reasons need explanations, they are self-explanatory.
What benefits/gains do you see by having sent your child to a play school?
So many....
A child starts going to playschool at the age of about 2.5 years, This is the time when a child enjoys most with toys, colours and rides , new objects tc...he is curious to know about everything, very inquisitive, so it the best time to make him learn with fun. Also it is preparing the child to stay away from his family for sometime and socialise with others.
I have seen children who didnt speak before going to playschool at all, but started speaking complete sentences after going there. It is because at home they are in their comfrt zone and dont want to take pain, they think mother/father wll understand their sign/code language, so they dont take efforts of speaking but outside their comfort zone they realise that no one will understand so they start speaking up and picking up things faster.

6) What do you think are advantages and disadvantages of a
composite school?

A composite school is one that combines different year levels and often those that cross the ‘levels’ of education. For example a composite school may combine the Intermediate School level with the Secondary School level, or may cover every year of schooling.

In Delhi i think most of the schools r composite as they cover all 14 years of education.....

Advantages:Since a child stays in the schools for longer period, therefore he/she adjust n adapts himself/herself well to the enviornment.

The parents do not have to bear the brunt of getting their child admitted again n again since admission in Delhi is even more difficult that reaching moon....

disadvantages:Since every school has a different pattern of teaching,so a child's thought may b limited to what he is being taught in that particular school only

Whole life of the child depends on one single decision...Though we have a choice to change the school in future but some parents do hesitate to change.
38) Your views on the use of technology in school education?

I think technology plays a very vital role in today's life.... Schools should incorporate use of computers by children to make studies more understandable as well as teachers as it makes the teaching more interesting..... nowadays technological advancements are necessary as it brings ur child at par with the growing world.....It increases creativity amoung children....To stay parellel to the changing envionment i think use of technology is a must by the schools...

Thank you Mr. Vohra....
I have tried to answer the question from general parenting perspective. You will have to adapt the answer to suite your circumstances and situation.

8) What do you do to establish good communication with your child? The simple way we have adapted is that we communicate with our child everyday. The conversation happens with 100% attention (without a TV remote or books in hand). The communication is most of the times 2 way and equally balanced. He shares his stories and we listen with complete attention. This shows that we are interested in listening to what he is saying and completely involved. We listen carefully and politely. We try to not to interrupt him when he is trying to tell his story. It is always important to reinforce the child for keeping communication open. We try to do this by praising his efforts to communicate.

I believe the best way to establish a good communication is to shower words of encouragement and Praise. Not just children but all of us thrive on positive attention. It is a little more important for children. The need to feel appreciated and it can happen if you keep on giving them positive strokes/feedback.

The best way is to write some good word and find the synonyms of those words on internet, Make them part of your daily vocabulary while conversing with your child. Trust me, it will change your overall persona as well. Below is a list of some words that you can use.
1. Good

29) What benefits/gains do you see by having sent your child to a play school?

The biggest benefit I believe is that it gives the child an alternate environment to see things from different perspective, meet children of his age, play and talk with them. He got to play with many toys there and also enjoy different rides.

The play school has actually induced a routine into his life. Getting up in morning and preparing for the school has become a habit. Play school has taught him various things that will help him adjust in a proper school without any difficulty. He has become more confident, and his language, usage or words and overall conversation capability has increased tremendously.
33) Which is your child's favorite cartoon on TV?
He adores Doremon and Kitrechu. He loves their gadgets and has become himself a gadget freak. He likes “Dora the explorer” because it teaches him new things. We in fact spent 2 hours searching for “Dora the explorer” CDs/DVD’s last week but couldn’t find any in Noida. He loves to watch the naughty Tom and Jerry for fun as well.
