49) What makes your child unique?

Well, There are dozens of traits, talents and interest that make our child a pretty unique one. At his age of 3.5 years, he is able to speak to people of any age with equal ease and confidence. His style of asking questions, his vocabulary (he speaks fantastic and peculiar Hindi words that we don’t uses in our daily conversation. He has picked them from TV and Learning DVD’s) and his style to narrate a long story at this age makes him unique. He possesses very high energy and likes to be in charge of the surroundings.

I would like to contest the last Statement Dr. Mahesh, but not on this forum/thread :-)

Most of the professions (including IT, Army, Doctors, Lawyers) actually suffer form profession hangover/hangup. The just need to mingle a little more.

What benefits/gains do you see by having sent your child to a play school?
So many....
A child starts going to playschool at the age of about 2.5 years, This is the time when a child enjoys most with toys, colours and rides , new objects tc...he is curious to know about everything, very inquisitive, so it the best time to make him learn with fun. Also it is preparing the child to stay away from his family for sometime and socialise with others.
I have seen children who didnt speak before going to playschool at all, but started speaking complete sentences after going there. It is because at home they are in their comfrt zone and dont want to take pain, they think mother/father wll understand their sign/code language, so they dont take efforts of speaking but outside their comfort zone they realise that no one will understand so they start speaking up and picking up things faster.
I totally agree with u Anupriya.............
Ritu u rock!!!!!!!!!!!!
wat an idea sir ji .well said

I have tried to answer the question from general parenting perspective. You will have to adapt the answer to suite your circumstances and situation.

8) What do you do to establish good communication with your child? The simple way we have adapted is that we communicate with our child everyday. The conversation happens with 100% attention (without a TV remote or books in hand). The communication is most of the times 2 way and equally balanced. He shares his stories and we listen with complete attention. This shows that we are interested in listening to what he is saying and completely involved. We listen carefully and politely. We try to not to interrupt him when he is trying to tell his story. It is always important to reinforce the child for keeping communication open. We try to do this by praising his efforts to communicate.

I believe the best way to establish a good communication is to shower words of encouragement and Praise. Not just children but all of us thrive on positive attention. It is a little more important for children. The need to feel appreciated and it can happen if you keep on giving them positive strokes/feedback.

The best way is to write some good word and find the synonyms of those words on internet, Make them part of your daily vocabulary while conversing with your child. Trust me, it will change your overall persona as well. Below is a list of some words that you can use.

What would you do if your child cries during the first few days of going to
school?
I think mostly children cry in the first few days of going to school, a child gradually adjusts and starts liking it after sometime. Maybe before he has started going to school, we can just take him for a walk in the morning where mostly kids are going to school in their beautiful uniforms either waiting for their school buses or are walking on the road and let them exchange a simple 'Hi'. Genrally kids like rides in car, buses etc(have'nt we loved it in childhood!!) so we can charm them about the fun in school, new friends, books, bag and take them to market to shop for his own small stuff like pencil, eraser etc.. I am sure they will love it ...!!
It is about making everything exciting and interesting for the kid(tone, pitch, expressions, enlarged eyes, making funny faces...everything counts-trust me it works), thats why it is said, u live your childhood again with the child.
