Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

Friends today i have written a letter/ request to DoE regarding redraw of all categories for ensuring justice to all innocent kids of wait listed, Non selected under 70 points and Inter State Category.  I request all of you to write DoE and make pressure on them to issue revised guidelines regarding redraw of all categories. The contents of my letters is as under:
Respected Madam,

Kindly refer to your office order dated 27.02.2014 regarding abolition of  Inter State Transfer Points. In this connection, the following is submitted that:

1. Earlier in the draw of 75 points, there were 50% of alumni parents and 50% Transfer cases and both participated in the draw. I feel that as alumni category are being treated genuine as such 50% of Inter State Transfer cases are also genuine. Now in the present scenario, the alumni category would capture almost all seats which are vacated by removal of transfer points.

2.  Unless and until, alumni points are scrapped together with transfer points then the majority of 70 point will not get any seat in any school, since alumni are always welcome in every school, and we have already requested your goodself for scrapping of alumni points also.

3.  Under article 14 of Indian Constitution "Right to equality, including equality before law, prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, gender or place of birth, and equality of opportunity in matters of employment, abolition of untouchability and abolition of titles", but this is not happening in the present case as per the circular issued by DoE on 27.02.2014. Since, the wait listed applicants and the applicants who are not in waiting list would participate twice in the draw for the seats vacated by Inter State Transfer Category, which is not all justified.

4.  It was published in the leading news papers that the Hon'ble Court has orders for the redraw excluding EWS. Hence, the present order issued by DoE is contempt of Hon'ble High Court order and should be modified suitably with the purpose to give equal justice to all applicants. Madam, just tell me, is it fair for kids who belongs to Inter State Transfer Category.

I hope that DoE will modify the order issued on 27.02.2014 as early as possible and issue revised orders for the redraw for all categories except EWS so that future of all the kids remain at point and article 14 of the constitution will be brought in the right perspective.

Yours faithfully,

(SURESH KUMAR)

Mr, Suresh, I think you are not going to get satisfied in any case. You are just creating confusion among the applicants.

You are talking about equility, please go and stop Christian schools for giving preferences to their religion.

Sorry to say Mr Suresh, but your stand indicates that you would not stop till his child gets admissiopn in a school of his choice... Pls read my other post for details

Deepak Chopra ji, i think your child has been selected else you would also stand with me. If you have any problem then you done have need to reply on this blog, just go and enjoy the selection of your ward.

Mr Suresh, the issue is that delhi has few good schools and population is too huge. Everyone for obvious reasons wants their child to be in one of the few good schools...So the whole issue...

I suggest that whatever guidelines have come should be accepted (there would always be a segment of ppl who would not get admission and they would crib). What haoppens in case in response to your letter, now the alumni categori ppl go to LG / DOE and ask that letters such as the one written by you should not be accepted. Its a circle as every dissatisfied category parents would go to LG/write to DOE....and the procss goes for an infinite loop....

It has to end somewhere and new session has to start...

Mr. Suresh . Please don't mind. But I need to blog coz you are just trying to create hurdle for those who hardly got lucky in Draw. If those parents who got there name in the draw will never want the redraw.

It was presumed that this new point system will ease the process of admission but i accept this point system to be a failure and not friendly for all the parents.

Mr. Suresh, you will witness backdoor  admissions this year also and we ppl will not be able to do anything against these schools.

Suresh ji your data is only based on one school results. You will be surprised in most of the schools many seats are now vacant due to removal of transfer points. Secondly the same sets of kids were getting admitted in the same locality in various schools due to the additional 5 points they were getting in all the school unlike alumni who got only in one school. This is the basic difference which you and everyone needs to understand.

agree with you Suresh, alumni points should go, till date no one ( even DOE included) has given a single good reason (which can stand in a court of law) for this alumni points.

According to our constitution reservation, preferance, extra points, concesssions etc are for someone who is at disadvantage compared to others.

how is an alumni at disadvantage in the eyes of DOE?

Even waiting 1 also like confirm seat so why such people face redraw ? Wait list must have choice with wait list or redraw otherwise redraw to all except EWS/ GIRL Quota
thats also true, whats the logic of scraping waitlist only

always withdrawl happens in every school, waitlisted speciallyon the top are like confirmed seats
@ mr suresh u r alright. In this I want to add that the kids having transfer points are not given equal oppertunity. Let me explain mathmatically. Lets total applicant be 1000 and no of general seat be 100. If all redraw happens then probabilty of selection a kid is 100/1000 means 1/10. But now only transfer seats are cancelled and opened for all for draw. Let assume transfer case to be 25. Now probabilty of slection for the kids under transfer point is reduce to 25/925 means 1/37. So with the redraw of transfer seats the chance of applicant who were under tranfer catagory has been reduces from 1/10 to 1/37. This is gross injustice with kids having transfer point. They are not being given equal opportunities. Futherthe remaining applicant are given opportunity twice. So pls think over it and add in your letter and prove this logically how this is gross injustice to kids having transfer points.
