List of documents needed for verification by Sardar Patel

Hi, Does anyone have the complete list of documents needed by Sardar Patel for verification. Thank you very much.

This was the process for last year.  For this year any parents who have applied can help.

Verification Process. List of documents to be submitted at the time of verification. For Neighbourhood Criteria: Parents will be required to submit atleast one document each from the following two groups: Group I: Passport/Voter ID/ Pan card (one from this group). Group II: Currently active utility bill for three months or a current Bank Statement giving address.( one document from this group). In case of Alumnus, Board Mark sheet of class X/XII and proof of having studied in the Vidyalaya for minimum four years is required. Proof in support of claim made for Gujarati/Sibling category. Proof/supporting documents for any other claim(s) made in the Application Form. Kindly bring the original documents for verification and photocopies duly self attested for submission. Documents will be verified only at the time of interaction and no documents will be accepted by the Office thereafter. All claims including claims for EWS and Gujarati categories and residence address are subject to independent verification

Thanks lathaa. Would they accept Aadhaar cards as well? Instead of Passport/Voter ID?

Hi Mansharan ji,

Our understanding is that you have to take original documents to back up every claim you have made in the application e.g. languages known, original degree certificates to back up claims of parents' education qualification, etc. Would be good to carry copies of all these certificates for submission to the school. Also good to carry residency proof, ID proof, Birth Certificate & pictures of parents.

Also be prepared to be asked to write the language you have claimed in the form. We know a parent who had claimed proficiency in french and was asked to translate a paragraph from English to French last year.

out voter id is due to arrive on 27th jan. our verification of documents is after that. would they accept it as proof considering the date of issuance of the voter id will of 3rd week of january?

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya has published the list without giving the points on website first. As per DOE directive they should have published the list of all applicants with their points and then they should have released the list based on draw for applicants having same points.

There is no transparency in the list published by them.

On what basis has Sardar Patel shortlisted the names. There should be a complete list of students who have applied alongwith the points secured as per DOE guidelines.

We should lodge complain about it on DOE website and email it to directorate of education and Mr Manish Sisodia.

But question is why they are doing only for some 400 applicants? On what basis they have published first list? What was the selection criteria?

A genuine query to all those who have been shortlisted by Sardar Patel or are well aware with the process of Sardar Patel. I have total points of 52 in General category of SPV. What are the chances of my kid getting through? 

I am asking this because I am quite far away from Delhi (3000 kms) and I don't want to travel all the way up to Delhi for one day for document verification of SPV unless my kid has a good chance in SPV.

Also my Passport ( Group I as per SPV) has address of Bihar, however MTNL bill(Group II) has delhi address.  can someone please clarify whether SPV will accept it or not. Do need both Group I and II documents need to be of Delhi address?
