Also, DPS Rohini has no code for professionals like lawyers. What should be done in such a situation?

I read all the posts here. First of all thanks to all the parents for fearlessly bringing out the points. Thanks and Kudos to Sumit for Selflessly taking this task on behalf of all parents.
Just to collate
1) BBPS PP not allowing residents of certain areas:
Rohini, Lawrence Road, and some other areas not allowed.
2) Prospectus of forms of some schools very expensive
3) Convent schools and many south Delhi schools have no meaningful points excepting neighborhood
Minority : 50, rest split up in single parent/alumni/sibling/defense/govt/national awardees. So most of the general public (educated/non-educated) left with only 20-25 points max. How does the school select now with most of the candidates having same points?
4) Refund of admission fee (partial/full) in case the child withdraws.
The schools can manage with extended wait lists in-case of cancellations. Uniform dates will mitigate this issue.
5) Neighborhood points limits children from far off areas (>7-8 Kms) to apply.
Springdales has taken a good step in this by giving max points to candidates on the bus routes and 10 points
for those who can manage their own transport.
6) Many schools are asking for Income proofs
7) We thought interactions were done away with
8) Sanskriti only giving preference to Govt employees.
9) Uniform date of submission, and results
Parents please add more to this list, if you feel like.

tagore international school v.vihar taking 100 rs for processing fees to process the application further

santa maria junior school of st.mary safderjung enclave taking 20 thousand rupees for admission which is non refundable .than we have to give fees in march .

CArmel Convent School , MAlcha Marg bought out its Nursey admission form on 18 th Jan and the process remained open for only 2 days. As per as the DOE guildlines the forms were to be isssued from 15th dec to 15th JAn , does this mean that schools can do what ever they feel is right , does the DOE have no control over the schools .

GURU HARKRISHAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, Vasant Vihar, Admission list displayed.... can call to school for result

Govt. should take action w.r.t the time of declaration of result of all the schools. some schools declared their result early and some later. There is a chance of loosing money if get registered in one school and later got selected in other school. No school is agreed to refund the money except security (approx. Rs. 500). So the dates should be within a week for all schools or there should be a provision for refunding a good part of the deposited amount.

1.The point system is totally wrong as most of the schools are alloting 20 points for sibling and for the first child only 5 or maximum 10 points , how far it is justified with the first child?
2. In case of allumini 20 points are their, and what if parents were not satisfied with their own education or environment of their own school or if the principal has changed, reputation of the school in the society has changed.Is it their child is punished or forced to attend the same school only because of this stupid point system.

Here are my views:
1. I totally disagree with girl child points. Mostly parents dont educate girls in public schools due to fee burden and not due to the issue of their not gettng admission to school. By giving extra points to girls.. we are doing injustice to boys.. how will the schools maintain proper boy and girl ratio.. my son has lost in many schools due to his sex. This is really unfair and clear discrimation with no benefit., DOE shd rather allow partial fee waivers to girls rather than giving them extra points.
2. I also totally disagree with Sibling and alumni points. What wrong has first child done to be denied admission in good schools.. i think parents strugging for their first child are really having a tough time.
3. Giving freedom to schools to decide their own points and weightage has also given them full scope of their own decisions. They have completely manipulated the system as per their own preferences.
4. I dont think DOE guidelines have really been even taken by schools much seriously.,. everyone has found out ways to flout them and are doing it pretty openly..
