Can anyone please explain the different terms used by different schools these days & the age eligibility for these categories like :
Pre School
Pre Primary
Pre Nursery
LKG
UKG
Nursery
Primary
etc.

Pre-Nuraery is in Play school. Pre-school,Nursery, LKG are all same terms which is informal education and age criteria is 3+ as on 31st MArch 2012. Pre-Primary, KG, PRep, UKG are all same and the next class of Nursery which is formal education and age criteria is 4+ as on 31st MArch 2012.

I understand that the race which is happening these days is for Nursery Admissions for age 3+. And the child should be in Class I when he is 5+.

But today I learnt from Aadharshila in Gujranwala that there is no directive from Govt for this age group & they are giving admission on First Come First Serve basis to everyone. No Draw, No First- Second List, Nothing....... Just complete the documents, Pay Fees & ENTER
