Management quota seats

Just wanted to ask a little more about management seats. Are management quota seats already filled?

Do we need to start approaching for management seats right now or it is better to do it after first list is out. Please share your expert inputs.

Hi Gaurav - Thanks a lot for sharing detailed information . That is really helpful. I have been trying to respond on that thread but I could not even after trying multiple times.

@Tarun: MQ quota you are talking about is a topic of debate. It's totally on school discretion which route they follow. Just to give you any idea... These are few process via which schools fill their MQ

1. Letters and applications: The lucky ones... From past few years we have seen schools accepting letters and aaplication mentioning your interest in schools. And few schools have come up with positive response in this case... Though a cumbersome task but can be very fruitful if your child fate's written in golden words

2. Jack and Approaches: The rare ones... Well I guess the name said everything.... If you have any jack/connection to a big fish in your circle.... consider your work done. Only problem is ... The percentage of such cases is too small to discuss and you cannot be dependent just on this.

3. Donations: The Unpopular ones....There have been scenarios where parents filling more than 20 forms dont secure a single seat. And in Delhi..... its not a hidden fact... that school do have a backdoor. You just need to have a genuine source for it.

Just in case you dont find your dream school....I recommend you to go for these approaches in the same order.

PS:

Category #1: You can start as early as of now.

Category #2 & #3: Yes you are lagging a bit for category #2 & #3 but its never too late.

Thanks Pankaj. That means Management quota seats are already filled. The quoted prices are just way too high and it is quite strange seeing people go for it so early :|

The quoted prices are just way too high: I concur you...People are willing to pay such high prices. Few have scores around 1-2L and few go till 20+L

Hi Tarun,

Your question has Two aspects, Are Management seats already Full : NO.

But, Yes, I am sure parents has already started to review their Phone Books and started to explore their Social Networks.

Consider Management Seats as a premium product, which schools also have pressure to SELL, these are the seats which bring revenue for school.

Parents might have approached the schools via their links, but they will not confirm it before the declaration of 1st list. Real action will start after 21st Jan. When parents will panic.

Moreover, everyone has top 2-3 targets which they want to crack, if not a Bal Bharati a DPS will do for them.

So, Yes it's not all over yet to approach for Management Seats but indeed bit late.

Explore your network and try to find out a credible source who can get the job done, rest I am sure Team here will help out on how to draft a letter and ways to approach Schools.
