Great job for helping parent's selflessly.

I think last chance for parents to come in Tandem.

Fight for your rights as I have never seen Mr Sumit Vohra going to any court.

Hope parents who have no admission, have nothing to loose.

Dr Juhi

Very correct...Parents need to come forward and join hands, as Mr. Vohra is doing everything for our benefits and rights and also for the betterment of future of our kids.

If we do not stand together at this point of time, year by year the situation and circumstances will get worse.

100 % Agreed.

Yes it's right

I agree. This is making a mockery of the system. When HC has banned some criteria then school cannot frame that criteria for admission. This is disrespecting the Hon' HC order.

Now I will come to why I think its happening and why schools are offering admissions at fcfs

Top schools are able to fill their seats easily. And everyone is running after them. But average schools like MBS, RDR and many other schools are not able to fill the seats. Hence in order to fill them before someone pays fees to another school they start giving seats on first come first serve basis.

But this diminishes the whole purpose of taking out waiting list but then neither are they able to fill seats even from waiting. So I feel they are doing it in desperation.

For MQ, donation is the biggest issue right now and schools are making it like a business house selling seats to parents. Parents have to also avoid such things and keep patience. The anxiety of getting admission gets the better of them and they are forced into paying donations which is wrong.

Sir, hereby, I'm attaching proof of two schools who circulated SMS to invite parents to avail the seats on First Come First Serve basis when my ward name was not among their first DOL (inclusive of waiting), and they are:

SGS - Not even in 2nd Waiting they published during DOL: Screenshot_20200201-205554.jpg

GD Goneka - Not eligible for DOL per the points criteria: Screenshot_20200201-205910.jpg

This is truly evident that people like me who is patiently awaiting for 2nd list (having full faith in applied rules are getting debouched of their rights) will be ending up, not on loosing side, but among many who can say it was sheer injustice. (though some intellect would say, that I was given an opportunity too like anyone else, but then will I play over my integrity to cause injustice to someone else).

Some schools took liberty of not publishing their Waiting List on their website, and now coming up claiming that my ward was in their Waiting List.

Yes, there are schools who pressurize to block the seats on or before 24th January (maximum by 25th January, 2020 within their office hours till 1PM, leaving no time for parents to make their mind to wait for assessing the possibilities) as they held their draw a week ago.

Yes, there are schools (M.L.Khanna D.A.V. / Modern International School) who ask for parents PAN Card (I wonder would they verify signature or financial status) and Qualification Certificates during registration process and had violated the issued guidelines.

You see Sir/Ma'm, good school / top school / average school doesn't matter much to me personally as parent, because I owe full responsibility for raising my ward for very principles that build up the character to face the world, and I have least expectation from any schools on that very regard (because I don't need mechanic work for the paint job many schools do) and yes, with school, I need to offer my ward a path to excel upon his/her caliber he/she recognize with gradual process (be it academics, sport, or some other curriculum), teachers/coaches being his/her mentor, but parents will always be life-guard to give them place they want to be, and hence such assessment of schools, we parents ought to make to make us assured we commence their journey on right note. It's mere assurance, and not guarantee (some kids may not able to express themselves even in the top schools, we all know every other dynamics).

One fine example, I can quote is does in any court of law, a school is held responsible for a kid misconduct, no Sir/Ma'm it is always parents who get summoned by civil authorities or for that matter by schools itself.

In nutshell, it is schools who needs to think that they have nothing to loose. They need to get out of their fears rather than creating it in minds of parents or played over morals that these very institutes are looked after to instill good one in our wards. Ironical, but true!

"Be the change you want to see" - I hope rather than imparting such quotes to students in classroom, these very institutes must have learnt and practiced it :-)

Thanks!

Thanks, this makes our case more strong :)

You are a role model for parent community. Very thoughtful.

I do feel, parents who want to change the system should come out and support Sumit Sir. Its time for parents who struggle for admission due to criteria's being set by schools which are against DOE and donations being asked from parents should speak up. We have to be the change to see the change. Else things will continue in this "Chalta hai" manner.
