Hopefully, the new age group will be implemented from the session 2011-12.

Even I want to know that my daughter has got admission while she is currently 3.4 years and do the registration will be cancelled by the school authorities.
Please let me know if anybody has any information.

No ..As per our inside information this will be implemented next year if it gets approval from CM

Parents! please do not get confused on this statement. It is only a recommendations and is required to undergo various stages of resolution to become law. Therefore, it is clear for the parents of those children who have already deposited fee with the schools should not get confused in this regard. Just relax.

Dear Mr. Vohra,
If it is going to implement next year since the admission process is over then what about the kids got admitted this year and their developement and stress? It should be implemented this year only. All kids are equal. Even my son is going to be in the school who is now 3.1 years but I still feel he is too young to go to a proper school. All the private schools does not have stress free environement. They do stress on writing and discipline like reaching school early morning on time etc. which I feel is too stressful for the kids and the parents, of course.
My humble request is to please take it on so the kids got admitted this year get benefitted

Don't know what gonna happen...goverenment is adding spice to your life or nigh mare. There are so many issues inflation...then there is Recession ...and now nursery admission. I know I can't take it anymore so I have left to god..to decide..... I'm sure sure why all of you guys are so excited about age-4..I didn't see any difference if its Age 4 or 3.5. A child with 3.5-3.8 range will miss whole one year...
Most of my firends have moved to Pune as cost of living is cheap, you get one of the best schools in india w/o any issues and above all good climate and environment for kids...
Think about it... guys!

This should be implemented next year only.
I think after a long exercise of Nursery Admission, the admission should not be cancelled,
because this statement has come after kids have been admitted to different Schools.
Because it will create lots of problems...
So................this is not a right time to implement it.

Dear Mr Vohra,
Its a welcome move which is evident with most parents agreeing to this & appreciating this move so that their tiny tots do not get into this mad stress from the tender age of 3+ rather get into this when they get to the age of 4+.
A parent like me who could not secure a seat for my child in any school wherever I applied this year takes this as an opportunity for my kid to get admitted to nursery once admission process will begin next year though that may mean he will loose one year in comparison to the kids of same age group who has been able to secure a seat for themselves. The only major concern I have is that will school open up the admission process next year , considering all the eligible ones has secured admission in nursery this year?
It will be good if through this forum you clarify on this or get clarification from schools etc.

Dear Vishal,
If the new rule is implemented from next year ..all the kids selected this year wud b promoted to K.G next year..... so all nursery seats wud be vacant in all the schools next year..you can try next year also and competetion wud be far less as most of the childern wud have got admission this year!!

Even i hope that it should not be implemented this year...
My daughter will b 3.yrs, 11 mons n 20 days old for nursery n i don want to her to waste another year....
but i know if the proposal is passed then hopefully it is implemented next year onwards....

I m absolutely agree with u Parminder. Nursery classes should eliminated fm formal school. Play schools pay more attention towards kids.

I totally agree with Perminder.
If they will admit 6+ in class I , then they should also change the age for the competitive exams(NDA, engineering and medical entrance).
