It is given on school website, that's why they might not be sending messages to parents.

Hello Shakshi Maam and Fellow Parents,
I have been following this website for quite a time. Your answers to various threads have clarified my doubts, although I have not actively participated in any of the threads. I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences/methods of dealing with separation anxiety among the Nursery kids and their denial to attend school.
My son has joined the Nursery class in Tagore International School, VV, on 6th April. Since then, he has refused to attend school. Although it has been only two days, and we are trying our best to understand his issues and motivate him with positive reinforcements, any input from your side will be helpful. You can share your experiences too, which will provide us with some insights.
I appreciate any help you can provide— apologies for the long post.

It's very common among children.
Moreover due to Covid children could not attend play school which helps in separation anxiety, forming peer group etc.
This happened every year in past years with many children but due to Covid, children were could not go outside and mix up with friends.
Just wait for few days.
As most of children take min 10-15 days to get settle in new environment of big school( Who had gone to play schools and had come of separation anxiety, had peer group, got toilet trained, got used to sitting in play school vans).
But this year no child could attend play school.
No need to panic as schools also understand and summer vacations would start next month.
So post summer vacation your son would be 3 months older and would gel with friends in summer vacations and thing would become normal.
Rest parents are requested to share inputs and help each other.

Thank you, Sakshi Maam, for your insights! Yes, indeed, he has no experience with playschools or peer groups. However, he loves playing with older boys and girls in our society but does not enjoy his classmates. The school transportation system is also very cooperative and caring, with nannies (with teachers) available during pick and drop.
With your insights on how to talk with him to share his apprehensions or motivate him to start liking his school/classmates, we will be able to help him out.
For the time being, let's wait and watch. :)

Show your child school building from outside and talk a positive about the school like you will have lot of fun filled activities and new friends with whom you can play with and school would take you to different places like railway museum, zoo etc.
Try to reach the school bit early and take your son in school playground and spend some time on swings.

Yes, we are talking positively about school and about having new friends. But, as he is taking the school transportation, we cannot visit the school personally. Also, the school won't allow parents to enter.
