fancy/branded schools must be having fancy/attractive dresses while ordinary schools may have ordinary dresses.i suspect this type of thread can further push parents in the race to get a seat in so called branded schools just for the reason that their kid will look more smart in thier school dress.its discriminatory,and i feel it has nothing to do with admissions or good parenting.
if our community members like the idea of a prize based on how their kid looked wearing a school dress,then carry on.
my idea is,remove the prize factor and this thread cud become fun and historic for many who likes to preserve memories.

I really find no big reason to remove the prize factor and stuff.. also i dont think thats because of this topic or prize, parents will do there day and night together to win. Its really not a big deal... its just to engage parents to hv some activity...any how now the nursery admissions fever is over so there is nothing much to do...so i believe these kind engagement is pretty ok...

thanx sumit,manish brother i just wrote what i felt,i didnt force myself on anybody,decision taken by sumit is entirely his own.i agree just to engage parents we can have some activity here,but there r better things to do,like discussing health issues affecting younger generation which includes most of we parents,and plan a strategy to cope with health issues which may affect our future generations including our kids.
health is something which we common people dont understands much,and our doctors dont shows us the day light to protect their profit margins in thier business called profession.
why not engage parents in discussing extra curricular activities which not only involves kids but involves our active participation with our kids which can promote health as well as personal bonding with our kids.
what about declaring a prize,which will be given after may be 5 -10-15 years,considering how good we proved ourself to be good parents?so that we constantly remain in touch with this parent community to share ideas and activities and lessons we learn or teach to and from our kids?
i dont think this forum is like a radio FM channel which i wud change whever there is an ad break.........
so instead of considering 1-2 day activity why not plan a bigger game?
sumit ji i guess this forum can become a good knowledge hub for health and body ,nutrition,exercise,skills development tools and many more things.
admissions cud remain the preferred and highlighted area,but u may devote seprate sections with sub sections having different categories to choose.
we all are different personally and we can have different choices,so may be everyone can find a thread of his/her interest.
what about having a different section to discuss business too?now this forum is free for experiments untill next admission process begins.
sumit,i have an idea ,why cant parents contribute towards loan installments of a maruti van which they get financed to carry kids from their area to school and back home?these guys r charging exorbitant fees as cab charges.
and why cant we have a NCR level cab managment company which offers cabs for school kids during school hours at a monthly fix charge,and their cabs can do business rest of the day ferrying customers all over the city?
cant we creat an active group of people who pick ideas from here and then goes in the industry on parents community's behalf and give them such business ideas?
if we succeed in doing something good for the society at large,its fine,else our personal life is not going to be affected.

My son's (Naman Aggarwal) first day at GD Goenka (Rohini) was real funfilled and exciting for him. He bid me good bye and went all alone without any tensions. I must congratulate the school for putting up such a joyful environment for students and giving them a very warm welcome. They had a train ride for the kids, tatoo making, mickey baloon swing, donald and disney to play with........Naman really had a fun time....the pics really represents the fun filled activities! They kept the theme as "Aqua" so everyone had to be dressed in blue color, and his mascot being a dolphin. I must say G. D Goenka Rocks!!!

this is a very grt and useful site for all of us. we share lots of thngs with each other .so i am agree with deepak ji dont make this site a prize wining site. we share pics ,uniform ,information etc.with each other just to share our happiness,information,thoughts etc.and we feel relexed . so better feel free here to share ur exp. and all rather than price ke liye hode lag jaye . i am sorry if i am hurting anyone but dis is my views. agar log enjoy karne or relex karne wali jaga ko bhi race mein jitne ki jagah bana denge tho hum parents phir kaha jayenge.

this is cool sumit ji i appreciate ur idea but dont u think ki sabhi log chayenge ki unki pics top pe lage so they will try wht ever they can do ki unki pics top pe lage.please dont mind i hv an idea tell everyone share their child first day pics or aap sabki pics one by one top pe lagey i think sabhi parents ko acha lagega ki unke baby ki pic top pe lagi hai. i am sure everyone will feel grt.

Good idea to post every kids pic one by one,may be everyone will remain hooked to this site to see which day their pic is piublished.the site can witness a real rush untill the whole process is over.
