Some schools are insisting on a requirement of having name of the child on the birth certificate issued 3 years back. I don't know how many parents have finalized the name of their kid at the time of birth and filled up the same in form provided by hospital. However to me Birth Certificate is just a proof of birth of a child to parents on a particular date and not proof of his/her name.
I just want to ask that is it a logical requirement by schools? If yes then how to handle it as I will have to go back to MCD to get name of my son imprinted on the certificate

Yes few schools ask for the same since it is school specific. Only option is you have to go to MCD and give application and get your child's name endorsed in it and hope you may get in 2 days if you request your urgency.
