Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2026-27

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

My daughter's name is mentioned as "Tiana Arora" on the birth certificate issued by MCD.

Later on i have changed her name to "Taraashi Arora" by giving notification in one english and one hindi newspaper along with an affidavit. Based on the same her name is mentioned as "Taraashi Arora" in her passport.

I would like to know whether birth certificate and passport having different names will be acceptable in schools for admission process during 2014 - 15 year admissions in nursery.

Go for correction of her new name in Birth Certificate which takes 7 to 10 days.

You should use her name Taraashi Arora in her name registration in applications and attach the old birth certificate along with the affidavit until you receive BC with new name.

Where ever you find change of name attach the affidavit. But get your correction done in BC as earliest as possible.

I have contacted MCD to change the name in birth certificate wrt affidavit and changed name in passport. They said name can't be changed in BC and suggested to include the name in "gazette" at publication department near old secretariat. This process will take approx one month as suggested by MCD personnel. After creating the gazette also, name will not be changed in BC and gazette will be used as a proof of name change instead of affidavit and newspaper. Please suggest.

Apply for Government Gazette immediately. Yes change of name is not allowed but correction of spelling mistakes is allowed. Until you receive the Gazette notification you use your kid's new name and attach the affidavit in all application forms wherever necessary.

Ok. Thanks for your kind suggestions.
