Must read for delhi parents.

Based on this critical analysis of Mr.Vohra which cannot be denied by anybody, critical action has to be taken. General quota people have very few seats left. Apeejay School followed category based percentage process and allotted 15% to RAA category which admit kids coming from family of different fields like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Sports person, artist and other cultural grounds and boast of they are moving towards to build a glorious nation through this category. So in this no seat for general quota students at all which is against RTE Act.

I agree that there is a necessity to increase the neighbourhood points giving more chance to get some hold on neighbourhood schools.

Parents are investing minimum of Rs.10,000 only for application and prospectus alone which schools compell the parents to buy even though DOE has set guidelines that propectus is not essential.

Education Minister has received publicity by declaring that they are moving towards for Centralised Admission Process. Have they taken any action for the same  and directed DOE on this issue?

Lathaaji, Your are spot on ,one month left and no action on CAP  by DOE ????

Thanks a ton Sumit sir for making it aware to the public at large with your critical inputs..

So many applicants chasing a handful no. of schools certainly make the competition tougher and the process cumbersome to the parents & kids..thus schools having a free hand to use some other means in filling the management quota through general category applicants..

Need of the hour for DOE is:

- to regulate the admission process in a transparent and uniform way for all the schools thus giving a fair chance to all eligible applicants..

-to adopt the centralised admission process by giving the seats details in a centralised counselling after conducting the registration through a simple uniform Form..

-rightly said is to focus on neighourhood concept and empowering the not so famous neighourhood schools by incentivising them to adopt good education standards by assiting in availing competent faculty, newer technology, updated pedagogy and better infrastructure..this is tough task but something has to be done to make it a healthy balance between all schools concerned to provide a meaningful education to all eligible children as rightly envisaged in RTE..(MCD schools, Sarvodya Vidyalayas & KVs can be transformed with a firm Government will power)..

Dear Lathaaji and Mr Bij

I agree with both of you.. the only solution is transparent admission process and up-gradation of Govt Schools to the level of decent private schools or atleast Central School under PPP. As no land  has been allocated for single school since 2002-2003...we need more schools !!

Sir, Govt and DOE are considering for a double shift system in Pvt. Schools instead of upgradation. They boast of 100 new govt schools by 2015 and forgot about quality of education.
