Thanks for sharing the link for affidavit formats. One doubt regarding affidavit for First Child - the format includes School Name as well. Does it mean that we need to arrange separate First Child affidavit for each school? If no, can we get one First Child Affidavit, and then use its attested copies in as many schools as required??

You can get single affidavit format for every school but in original ( one or two school might ask you to make it school specific )

Thanks. Just to confirm, I understand that multiple common originals of First Child affidavit are required - 1 for each school. And then there can be school specific originals if required. Last question - are these affidavits printed on Rs. 10 non-judicial stamp paper?

Affidavit has be to original ,yes some school ask for self attestation and some for Gazetted officer attestation (school specific)

My daughter was born at my native place-(Lucknow) and we have "birth certificate" from Nagar Nigam, Lucknow, and that too only one original whereas we live in south Delhi and would be looking for nursery admission this year. On inquiry from Nagar Nigam, Lucknow, we found that they issue only 1 original certificate.  Can attested photocopies be submitted in schools?  Please guide.

Original birth certificate will be issued free of cost. But you can apply for duplicate copies of Birth Certificate.

Go through this link and refer page 38 were duplicate copies can be obtained in your Nagar Nigam.

Attested photocopies may do for applying and after selection different schools follow different schedule and all schools ask for original certificate for verification and few schools ask to submit the original. So keep ready a minimum of atleast 10 copies on a safer side.

Thanks for the info.my son is 24th march2009 born.he is going to nursery in mother's pride ,i want him to repeat nursery in a formal school this year,are schools taking 4+ kids in nursery???
