mr.kaul plz elaborate a bit more with regard to ths new distance criteria and point alloted by ahlcon international??n wt all is going on in the documnt verificatn process?? the website is still displaying the old criteria
Hi, I was there too for verification but did not find any such thing happening but since the school on there own formulated the list with points hope you got 55 points there but you could have taken up the change in points...This is really frightning. Not sure when it can be scrapped. Didn't u meet the owner he was there when I was there for verification round about 9:15 a.m.
Any other area they are scrapping please let us know so that people do not have last minute shocks.
wats d guarrantee that new norms of HC will not be challenged by schools in front of bigger bench of HC..end result is confusion for parents and increasing black money rate of different schools.
YES SAURABH VERY VALID POINT SEE THIS

I am sorry but this is only going to cause more confusion and more frustration for the parents. I understand you are trying to help the parent community but I think this is beyond limit now. How can you expect parents to go through the entire rigour again of filling out and submitting forms to various schools, running around to get all documents attested and verified? Do you think this is some kind of a joke? Why didnt you take this matter up before the entire procedure started for this year? Why not get this implemented for the next session and consider the forms already submitted for this session?
Simrita, I m sorry u could not comprehend what the article says/or i wrote above
"WE ARE TALKING OF THOSE ADDITIONAL FORMS(in case parents want to apply in additional schools) AND WE ARE TOTALLY AGAINST SCRAPPING OF EXISTING FORMS PERIOD"
As you are not aware of the complications that will arise if Distance and Draw of lots is the only criteria.
PLEASE SEE VIKAS KAUL POST ABOVE , YOU WILL UNDERSTAND RELATED TO DISTANCE.
Sakshi, if you make distance and draw of lots the only criteria, do you think it will solve all problems? Have you thought of the complications arising out of these two criterias before proposing them?
Draw of Lots - Does presence of a single representative of DOE ensure that draw of lot is completely fair? When schools shamlessly and openly ask for donations, dont you think its much easier for them to rig this draw of lots? Wont it promote more corruption and malpractices in draw of lots? Who can ensure that this will be a completly transparent process? I have my complete doubt on this one!!
Distance - In your own forum, on what basis do you or your expert panel advise people that this school is better than that one? If you look at your own responses, you will realise that mostly you tell us-this school is better in academics, this one focuses too much on extracurricular, this one does not have good reviews from parents. So if you implement 'distance' as a criteria specifically, then my child would get max points for a school which is at 100m distance from my place. Now how would you ensure that this school has equally good academic and extracuricular ratio as compared to a old reputed school at a distance of 7-10 km? If this 100m school has constant problem with security system, constant change of teachers, low standard of education, no extracurricular facilites, then why would i want to put my child in this school? Wouldnt I prefer to still try for the reputed school even if it is 7-10km away? So wouldnt this 'distance' criteria of your put my child at a disadvantage? Doesnt my child have the right for a good quality education just because of our location? I am not in favour of children doing long distance travel neither I am in favour of so called branded schools, but you also take into consideration the quality of schools. Do all schools provide same quality of education and exposure to the students? If you look at the larger picture, then improving quality of education in all school and bringing thm at par with each other is the solution! If I am see that the school at 100m distance provides all facilities, same quality of education as any other school in the city, I will not even think twice before getting my child admitted there. Why would i bother about a school 7-10km away?
Another point, which is probably been missed in this entire fiasco is that including distance as the only criteria will further complicate situation for the parents. For many parents it would mean shifting houses near to the reputed school, so that they can take advantage of this criteria. Do you really think this is fair?
@Simrita, TRY TO UNDERSTAND WE ARE NOT THE DECIDING AUTHORITY.
Yes Sakshi, I understand that. But you ARE the ones proposing these SOLUTIONS on behalf of the parent community! All I am trying to say is that all such half-thought of proposals at this stage are ONLY going to add to the chaos and will not lead to any immediate solutions. You could probably workout a more robust proposal for admission from next year onwards.
Simrita,WE DID NOT FILE PIL.It was filed 2 yrs back by Mr Ashok Aggarwal
