Dont be disheartened although I was also. The best thing is the real education comes from home i.e. parents.

Had applied to 14 Schools......points awarded range from 25-40.......listed kids have points 50 and above.....got only in one school......asks for 50,000 buck cash without receipt.........school is of 3rd grade.........all reputed schools have management quota.......they will go to people who are influential or are loaded.....what does the middle class do.....guess the kid has to continue one more year in play school and sent to boarding the next outside delhi.

One more problem, in case the child is first born they get less points then sibling case. It means we are discouraging first birth but encouraging second birth! Further is the first child and that too boy do not have the right of admission to school. Also in alumni case the points should be on the basis of Ex-student of Delhi irrespective of which school they have studied.

Parents qualification criteria was rightly removed from the points system. The same way the Alumni and Sibling should be removed or the sibling and first child should get equal points. Distance was initially taken as the mail criteria but after seeing the results it seems that the same has been kept aside.

There should be no point for sibling and alumni, having first girl child applied in 15 schools

Infact, the first child, whether a girl or a boy should have got the maximum preference.

This is very dissapointing. Why cant they make a system where everyone has equal opportunity. Ok if is important to give priority to siblings and alumni , please reserve a quota for people who do not fall into any category. Where will people like us go who have single boy child. Despite applying to close to 30 schools his name has appeared in 1 school which is also very far off from our place.

Really very disappointing, i applied in 11 schools in South Delhi Schools for my baby boy but couldn't get thru even a single, can any one advise what to do now? indeed slogan of education to all is a bullshit.

dont get disapointed sir, I live in Vaishali ghaziabad. I also have boy baby. I filled more than 15 schools in ghaziabad and noida. Their is no point system in ghaziabad and noida. after that my son could not get thru a single school. It is just 2 months back. I was in same condition at that time i lost my job because of these admissions. Because i am not able to consentrate on my job and that is MNC. Suddenly i got a call from a missionery school (St. Francies Indirapuram) for admission in the month of nov when every thing was closed and i am waiting for delhi openings. Main to yahi manti hu shayad humari prayers kam aa gayi aur mere bete ka admission ho gaya. So hope for the best and do prayers. I advise you to please go to any school in which you filled the forms and try to meet with admission coordinator or principal. Kuch le de kar kam karwane ki koshish karo ya bhir jo jaan pahchan nikalo ministry level par.
