one criteria might be your own house...

No Sumit,

I don't think there is any criteria like that. I could not find reason as to why my daughter was not selected for Somerveille, Noida. We are having our own house at a distance which is around 2 Kms from the school. Ours is a first girl child. Everything else related to qualification and all is also good for both of us, but even then we were not even being shortlisted.. Surprises me :)

Hi Preeti,

Actually, You can not guess what is the criteria any school is following for shortlisting the application forms.

This is their internal process... and one can not do any objection on it... actually if you object as well... they don't care...

We can only take part in guess work...

I am not in the sommerville race... my daughter is not eligible..

& I am not here for filing RTI on others behalf.

Hi Sumit,

Whether Filing it or not is at one's own discretion. The point here is, what everybody wants, is for the schools to maintain transparency. They have the very right to decide their own criteria, but being transparent makes the life of parents a bit easier. Isn't?

Hi Preeti,

You can not enforce school to maintain transparency.

The best way of shortlisting of forms is lottery system in front of parents.

I think only BalBharti did this.

House cannot be because its just one km distance I believe. V strange our qualifications r good enough and moreover I myself hv studied from missionary school. God knows what they luk for.

I heard that they don't prefer working mothers but then this is not something kind of a fact that can be digested! They only know what is hidden behind, rest all are assumptions and guesses....
