Prakash,

- Usually the admission starts in Noida from 1st of Sept, and the announcement starts from mid of August. Alerts will start from July-August in this forum.

- Few scools only have fully online process, in many schools you need to submit the form physically with photocopies of all supporting documents like (address proof, date of birth etc.), so it is better to be physically present during that time. Also keep visiting this forum for more news, in any case u will get alerts in ur mailbox.

- The new session starts from 1st April.

- Get the address proof done asap, get the name of your daughter in DoB Certificate (if not there).

There is an excel sheet on the home page of this forum, which you can download to get an idea about the list of schools, dates, admission criteria etc. for the last year.

Shival, Thanks for your response.

I have few more questions. It would be great if you can comment on them as well.

1. once the admission process starts on Sep 1st, what is last date to submit the application (for most of the schools)

2. Does my daughter and her mom need to be physically present when I submit the form? 

3. Around when do the schools call child for interview?

I am just trying to get an idea when the whole family needs to be moved and settled without missing opportunity to get admission in good school.

1 All the schools don't come on same date like delhi , some school start even in aug. Normally you get 3-10 days (school specific) to submit the forms.

2 As RTE was validated by supreme court few days back , we have to wait and watch whether school does screening of kids and parents or not this year onwards.( Till last year most of d schools did it)

You Should be prepared from aug onwards till oct and no one can predict dates of interaction ( you can see dps noida/amitynoida/apj noida and NOIDA group to get the idea for ineraction dates for last year and yes last year Amity Noida did not call kids)

Thanks Sakshi. That was helpful.

Based on responses so far, I think i will come in August with my daughter, rent an apartment and use the lease dead as address proof.  Stay till october, apply to all the schools I would like my daughter to be admitted and attend all the interactions wherever required. 

Hopefully, I would be able to get her to one of the school. After that I am thinking to  come back to my current address for few months and come back with whole family to Noida before school session starts in April 2013.

Do you see any problem in this approach ?

1 Get court registered rent lease deed and get BSNL phone installed by Aug.

2 Sometimes Amity comes in second week of Aug.

3  Some Schools have Upper cut off for Nursery ( like DPS IN DELHI have MAX 4 yrs on 31 mar) So ABHA has a point . Just call schools for their upper cut off ( its school specific)

Prakash,

As you said that your daughter will be 4 in the month of November, that means this year when the forms will be out she will be eligible for Dps and Cambridge Noida, but not for Amity as they have the age criteria of 3+ for nursery admission. I am also going to apply for my son this year in DPS, and by checking the trail mails of DPS noida group I got an idea that we have to mark the month of September and October for our kids admission.

Hi Abha,

   I checked Amity website and as you said they have 3+ requirement as below:

"Eligibility for Nursery - 3+ yrs as on 31 March, of the Academic Year of which Admission is Required ."

If I am interpreting this right, 4+ year  should qualify for nursery based on the above requirement since 4+ satisfy 3+.

Let me know if I am wrong.

I got confused with your interpretation. Are you looking for admission in the academic year, which is already over I mean April 2012 to March 2013 or you are looking forward for next year and if it is for next year then she will not be eligible for Amity so do my son because he will also be 4+ in November. As per the info given on their website, that means that the child should not be more than 3+ as on 31 March 2013.

Abha, I can see why my 2012-13 in my title could be confusing.

when I started this post, I wasn't sure when admission starts and when the academic sessions starts.

Based on the information i have received so far, now I know that I am looking for April 2013-14 academic year. 

so my daughter will be 4+ on March 31st, 2013. But as per the website, requirement   is 3+ year (assuming this requirement will be same for next year as well). so as per my interpretation 4+ should still qualify. I think requirement is not that child should be between 3 and 4 years on March 31st. But rather, child should be at least 3 on March 31st.

I would be a surprise to me if a school didn't allow admission to Nursery class if a child has missed the age window. But I may be wrong.

I am not sure about Noida schools, but that what I heard about Amity and I am 100% sure for Delhi schools 3+ means, the child could be 3 yr. 11 months old, but not 4+ as on 31 March. 4+ child is considered for admission to next class i.e. KG, but you never know there might be some new guidelines in the pipeline from Edu. Dept. regarding age and admission criteria.

Dear Abha and Prakash

In Delhi Min age limit is 3yrs  but there is no upper cut off age limit . If you see excel sheet its evident for Shriram /Srijan/Ahlcon public who had given more points to 4yrs plus kids for nursery .... but upper cut off age is school specific for Delhi and NCR Schools !!
