Update on HC hearing (Nursery)- Next date of hearing is 8 Feb
Hi, some of my known to are saying that Source/Donation is required to get ur ward admitted in Bal bharti school, pitampura nd rohini. This Myth is true or false??
I am unable to understand why the case in HC going on. It is only because schools are not getting freedom to earn handsome amount of money from Parents. Normally if we see all criteria mentioned by any school is totally against the Right to Education where if a child don't have sibling or Alumni than have very less chance of admission in any good school or parents should have good amount of money for donation. Now with the distance criteria many parents like me as well are hoping that their child will get admission in good & need not to suffer travelling a lot. Most of us when we plan to purchase or shift to any locality, we first see which all good schools are nearby, but at the end because of schools made criteria end up with nothing.
I guess neighborhood is a fair idea for admission or else don't keep any points for anything like alumni, sibling, first child, girl child etc. Just totally make it on draw base & to equalize the ratio of girl & boy child in school you can just fix the number of seats for male & female child in each school
Decision is just on the basis of parents who afford to go to court & have money to file & fight the case is not worth. Is there any way where we can put our submission to court as well
I guess this should be implemented on all schools in Delhi instead of 298 schools
Ashish,
I second your thought. I more catch here is private schools see an opportunity to fetch money from transport if they give admissions to kids who do not reside in the vicinity of schools. As the schools cannot increase tuition fees now, this is the only option for them to earn money now. Sending kids in transport (school bus/van) exposes them to all kinds of risks(bad elements/conditions of buses).
Neighborhood criteria is absolutely right for nursery admissions. Let the parents change schools( if they want to) when they grow up.
Also, have you ever seen small kids travelling in school bus / vans for long distance after school hours they are completely exhausted
But no one is commenting on this, it is just what is happening let it be no one is concern
Ashish
Distance is very valid point for small children specially
but we had mixed reactions from parents on this thread
