Just got done with Spv verification. My advice to parents going tomorrow would be to carry documents to support ANY claims you have made. Language testing was intensive. First I was asked to read a passage, then told to write a few lines on a topic given right then and to translate it. Then they asked me to speak a few lines on a topic of my choice. I'm assuming my part (third language)was satisfactory. The same process was repeated for my husband(fourth language).

But as per DoE guidelines no school have right to test any kind of parents skill, income etc. Why you people are not complaining against this school

Sardar Patel is a LINGUISTIC MINORITY school. I believe they have autonomy from the courts to conduct admission and verification procedures accordingly. There was no interview. Language testing was done as a part of verification of claims.

Yes Minority Schools have autonomy to frame their own guidelines.

Minority schools have lot lot of exemptions like they don't have to give 25% ews seats as per RTE.
But yes I agree many minority misuse their autonomy and are not transparent.

RTE doesnot apply to nursery kids.unfortunately It starts from class 1.

We have 75 points as per our own calculations. We have submitted all necessary documents and were tested for both 3rd and 4th languages. No idea what our total was today. I believe they were tabulating points at the last table.
Did you also go today? What were your points?
