Do the admissions usually start at the end of December every year or earlier in the beginning of December?

Hi Parents,

I have been following this forum from past year. Although we try to answer each and every query of yours, but here are the FAQ on this forum:

1. When does the whole admission process starts

A. You need to be on your toes, from mid December and keep checking for the latest notification/Guidelines from DOE. Also its always a good practice to be prepared with all documents by 10th December.

2. When are forms out ?

A. Following previous year's pattern, forms are usually out by end Dec - early Jan 

3. What Documents I need to be prepared for ?

4. is there any specific format for Affidavit that needs to be followed ?

A. Only specific schools(eg DPS etc) come up with their own format. You need to read the guidelines of each and every school and carefully check if they have any such requirement. If not then follow the general uploaded pattern or the notary are usually aware of such stuff

5. My kid is just few days short of 3Yrs(Eg: 2 Yrs 11 Months 28 Days)...Am I eligible to apply for Nursery this year ?

A. Simple Rule: If your Kid is less than 3 Yr by Mar 31 2019(even by a single Day), You are not eligible. Again, this is as per the previous year Guidelines which seems to remain constant this year too

6. My Kid is 4+ Am I eligible to apply for Nursery this year ?

A. As far as I remember and understand, There was a guideline from previous year regarding the same which stated that from this session(2019-20) onwards kids who are 4+ would not be allowed for Nursery(Though you can still Apply for KG). It seems....It would be followed this year.

7. What is the criteria for selection for Nursery ?

A. Though its School specific.....But Generally it boil down to the following parameters

a. Distance

b. Alumni

c. Siblings

d. Single Parent

e. Girl Child

8. How is distance calculated ?

A. Again, it school specific, like few DPS Schools require print outs from Google Maps, for which they have tool incorporated in their website only. Aerial distance/Distance by road/Some give localities name( Some follow school transport distance etc). Better  confirm with school.

9. I don't have any Birth Certificate/ Aadhar Card ? Will the school still accept my application

A. BIG NO. Aadhar & BC are few of the mandatory things which almost each and every school demand. If You dont have it Apply for it ASAP.

10. Are forms Online/Offline

A. Again, School Specific. But in general these are bucketized in 3 Categories

a. Online: Completely Online Process(No Hassle :-)  )

( Some will ask you to submit hard copy also of the same )

b. Downloadable: Download the form+ Submit it physically(Followed by 90%)

c. Physical forms: Get it via School + Fill & Submit it before Deadline(Only few schools follow it now)

@Yamini: As specified by Sakshi, it's uploaded there on website also if you get in touch with nearby notary they are also aware of such stuff. 

PS: Please note that as mentioned there are few schools that come up with specific format for girl child affidavit.

Thx all for ur hlp.
This year my kido too will be eligible for this.. so kuch of stree and tension from now only....
Can any of u share last years forms ...so that we cue know idea how forms are .
Truky thnkful to all experienced ppl here for helping parenta like us... We value ur help...
