Information regarding Selection criteria (Open Seats)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION

It would be preferable that the online form be filled.

You are advised to fill in only one form - either Online OR Offline, to avoid cancellation of both the forms. The school cannot be held responsible for any error in this context. Please read this page completely and understand it before filling the Registration Form.

1. The admission process would be as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Education from time to time. (Please refer to the disclaimer).
2. Total number of seats in Pre School are 196. [General category-108, EWS/DG – 49, Management Quota-39].
3. The minimum age required for registration is 3 years and the maximum is less than 4 years as on 31st March, 2023. (Children born between 01.4.2019 to 31.3.2020 - both dates inclusive, are eligible for admission in Pre-School/Nursery).
4. The age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the Head of the school in the minimum & upper age limits for Pre-School/Nursery. The parents may approach the Principal for seeking age relaxation through a manual application.
5. Registration forms will be available online from December 01, 2022 onwards till December 23, 2022. Submit the details online and pay Registration Fee of Rs. 25/- as instructed. You will receive an acknowledgement mail with registration number and online payment details.
6. Registration forms can also be collected from School Gate No. 1 and the same can be submitted to school w.e.f. December 01, 2022 till December 23, 2022 between 9.00 am to 12.00 noon, except for Second Saturdays and holidays. However on the last day, the duly completed Forms can be submitted upto-04.00 pm.
7. No supporting documents are to be submitted along with the Registration Form as the same are to submitted at the time of verification only, in case the child is selected.
8. Verification of original documents supporting the information given in the registration form will be done only for applicants whose names would appear in the first or the second list, to be displayed on January 20, 2023 and February 06, 2023 (if required, in case seats are not filled by first the draw).

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR PRE-SCHOOL CLASS DURING
ACADEMIC SESSION – 2023-24

In pursuance to the Director of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi order F.DE/15(172)/PSB/2016/9483-9492 dated 21.11.2022 the following criteria have been laid down for admission to Pre-School Class in the school for the year 2023-24.

1. Seats Available:

Seats available in Pre-School = 160

2. Category Wise Seat Distribution:

a) E.W.S. & D.G. Category = 40
25% of the seats are to be filled from candidates belonging to the E.W.S. Category/ CWSN/ Disadvantaged group/Orphans who are eligible as per conditions laid down in Govt. Notification no.15(172)/DE/Act/2010/69 dated 07.01.2011 and subsequent orders.
(Admissions in this category shall be done based on computerized draw to be conducted by DOE and sponsored to the school)

b) General (Open)Seats = 120
75% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the General Category/ Management Discretionary Group under the school specific criteria.

Management Quota 20% = 32
Seats shall be filled at the discretion of the management

General Category (Open) Seats = 88
The remaining seats which are not covered under above categories shall be filled on 100-point scale based on school specific criteria without any discrimination of Caste / Religion / Region etc.



3. School Specific Criteria (General Seats)

The School specific admission criteria have been devised on a 100-point scale to be distributed as under:

Candidates residing beyond 8 kms distance from the school	60

Siblings/ Staff wards - 30 Points
Candidates whose real sister or brother is a student of this school or / wards of the employees of SPS, Maurya Enclave, Pitampura only


3.1 In case of Neighbourhood , the applications must be accompanied by google map showing the road distance from their residence to the school. Points would be given according to the defined number of kilometers in the applicable range.

3.2 In case of siblings, the application must be accompanied by a self-attested photocopy of the latest fee payment receipt (Oct 2022 – Dec 2022) of the sibling students indicating the admission number and both sides of the ID card.

3.3 In case of staff ward, the application must be accompanied by a self-attested photocopy of the ID card of the staff member.

3.4 Selection of Candidates for admission in Pre-School class during the session 2023-2024

• i.) School follows the 100-point scale system.
• ii.) Out of the total applications from the Neighbourhood range and Sibling Criteria/Staff Wards, admission would be first offered to the candidates attaining maximum points.
• iii.) Out of the total applications from the Neighbourhood range and Sibling Criteria/Staff Wards, admission would be first offered to the candidates attaining maximum points.
• iv.) If vacancies remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the first lot of maximum scorers, the applications from the next lot of maximum scorers shall be considered in the above manner.

EWS & DG Category
The school shall not process the admission of EWS/DG Category students. The D.O.E. will process the applications online for admission in schools as per the guidelines.

Management Quota
The seats under management quota shall be filled at the discretion of management.

4. Age

As per D.O.E. order the child should be at least three (03) years old as on 31st March of the year for admission in Pre-school. However, the child must be less than 04 years old as on 31st March 2023.This includes all the children born between 01.04.2019 & 31.03.2020. Age relaxation of upto 30 days may be provided under the existing rules for which a request in the manual form would need to be made to the Principal.

5. Registration

The process of Nursery Registration will be conducted both via online and offline modes.

For OFF-LINE Registration: Standardized registration forms shall be available at Gate No. 2 of the school on all working days from Thursday, 1st December 2022 to Friday, 23rd December 2022 between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on payment of Rs.25/- only.

The filled in forms should be deposited at Gate No. 2 of the school between 09:00 hrs. to 13:00 hrs. on all working days. The last date for deposit of application form for registration shall be 23rd December 2022 up to 14.00 hrs.

For ON-LINE Registration: Online Registration forms will be available on the school website. The direct link to apply online will be available in the Admission page of the school website from Thursday, 1st December 2022 to Friday, 23rd December 2022 upto 23:59 hrs. Instructions and guidelines to fill the Online form available on the website should be carefully read and followed.

(ii)  Proof of Residence (any one) :

• Ration Card / Smart Card issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father having name of child).
• Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents
• Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
• Electricity bill / MTNL telephone bill / Water bill / Passport issued in the name of any of the parents or child.
• Aadhar Card / UID card issued in the name of any of the parents. 

  (iii) Proof of Sibling of the student studying in Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, CD-Block, Pitampura, Delhi.
