Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Till last year admission notification for both used to come together. This year for the first time due to Covid-19 they are still not out with admission notification for Pre-Nursery. Stay Tuned.

Dear Sakshi and others,

My daughter got through Shikshantar and Heritage ( under IB programme). Would be grateful for the forum's thoughts on comparison between the schools. Heritage tells us that change of board (between IB and CBSE) is possible in grades 6,8 and 11 if we want.

You first need to decide which curriculum you want to go for ICSE or IB.

Hi Sandeep,

Comparing Shikshantar and Heritage IB is like comparing an apple with a watermelon. There is no comparison at all. Theirs boards are different (ICSE vs IB). Shikshantar is a school lacking in imparting state-of-the-art IT education to their students, without a swimming pool , without a foreign language etc etc. Their focus is more on having children connect to nature, sweat it out in the open (somewhat similar to the way we were brought up). While that way is welcome but the current times demand a lot more than just that. Heritage school, on the other hand, is in a different league altogether. Have met, both, parents and children studying at both the schools and beyond any shadow of doubt, I would want my child to be in Heritage than Shikshantar, incase the difference in fee and allied expenses is not a major factor to consider. By the way, my daughter has got through in both, in addition to a couple of other schools. We have skipped Shikshantar.

Hello Sakshi and others,

We are residing in Sector 23 GGN. What good schools can we still apply for Nursery admission in 2021 session for our daughter, considering the distance and overall reviews of the schools ?

We had applied to DAV Sec 14 and Salwan, but did not make it to the shortlist of either.
