In engineering and medical colleges of Delhi eg. DCE, NSIT, DPMT, GGS IPU, VMMC etc (for sure) and DU (I think) 85% seats are reserved for students who have passed 12th from a school in Delhi. While in UP, Haryana for engineering and medical seats, domicile of UP/Haryana is considered. So many parents from adjoining areas like Ghz, Noida, Faridabad etc. try to enroll their ward in Delhi schools in class XI to take benefit of seats from both states.

Yes Atul is right

Double chk for Harayana/UP whether Domicile is sufficient or 11-12 class passing certificate is required from respective state.

For UP, domicile used to work in my time. Not sure, if process has changed recently.

Guys, I have just checked on DTU, DPMT, IPU etc do reserve 85% of seats for students passing out from Delhi schools. So far DU has not put any such reservation.

Resolution has been passed for 28 DU colleges funded by Delhi Government.

But this has to be passed by Central Govt and the it has to be amended for DU (so still pending as of today no reservation for Delhi students in DU)

With the introduction of NEET and JEE-Mains, some rules have changed. For one, I think class X is also considered for schooling criteria
