Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Hi Anupama..Congratulations first of all.. nd i m sailing d same boat since my daughtr couldnt mk it to the shiv nadar list either. also..v hv nt got any response frm dps noida as my status still shows pending. May i know wat all schools hv u considered for ur son before finalising to dps

My choices were:

1. TSMS - everyone has good reviews and we cleared it but let it go for Shiv Nadar.

2. GIIS - Distance is an issue as we live in Sec 15

3. Kothari - My niece is studying there and Primary section is good but there is no competition at senior level.

Hallo Sakshi!

Thank you so much! I was very indecisive and when my son could not make it in Shiv Nadar's lottery I restarted the whole process of selecting from one of new age schools but your one sentence written somewhere in this forum that we should go with main stream school and can change the school after a year or two if we are not happy with them, sealed the case for me.

Yesterday I deposited fees and birth Certificate (so no more scope of confusion :) ) at DPS Noida.

Why they keep Birth Certificate of the child?

any specific reason for that.

No reason and it would be given back only at beginning of session.

As per the info given to us, they will keep the certificate till the child is in their school which means class 12th. We clarified this and she said yes, it will be till class 12th.

If any parents need the B.C. then application to be given in school and they will give it for 5 days only.

Don't know how true it is as every teacher may have her own version.

Please clear my point,

In interaction process of DPSN the panel said if husband not available (In abroad) the case will be kept in hold and required a submit application regarding the same...My husband is currently abroad. Even I asked them for web interaction, but not worked :(

I read that ur case was also same......How you came out from this issue...

Honestly I dont know. I wasn't expecting a result and didnt even check till late evening. I guess my husband being an alumunus and a popular figure in school (captain and all) may have worked in my favour.

Anupama .. We also made choice on similar grounds ..Though I am hopeful that we shall be able to get seat in Shiv Nadar ( waiting is under 10 so slight hopeful ) . We realized that we had option other way .. from mainstream school to so called new age school but vice versa shall be slightly complex for kid to adjust ..

So with all positivity we decided to take this call :)
