Accept general has become minority.

Dear Dr. Priyankka Ma'am.. I feel really sorry for the problem you are facing while applying in schools.. Unfortunately being in General category, you see we dont have 25 % reservation like you people enjoy, I have applied in 21 schools till date..... Some more are lined up for the next week.. And I didn't find any of the staff misbehaving with people of EWS category...I am really surprised you have a prefix of Doctor in your name and you call yourself from DG/EWS group.. This is a shame on the Indian education system that a doctor's living standards have not improved to enter into general cadre yet.. You must have got a medical seat due to SC/ST quota which should make you employable enough... Now the irony is that your child should also enjoy this.. All the general category people, pls share what is your opinion over this..If a parent from SC/ST/OBC has got a seat in an educational institute or a job, he has ideally improved his financial status and can afford his kids education.. Why should  the reservation benefit be extended to his next generation? Reservation benefits have been given since more than 20 years.. Atleast one generation of Indian reserved category has taken the benefit.. Why the next generation?

It is not good to target individual parents in this forum. You should understand that the government should notify the categories under disadvantage group. Some governments have declared 12 groups under disadvantage group.

Children belonging to disadvantaged groups are defined in section 2(d). These include children from SC/ST, and other socially and educationally backward categories based on cultural, economical, social, geographical, linguistic, gender or other categories that the appropriate governments can separately notify. Appropriate governments can for example notify different categories in different districts and sub-districts of the state, educationally backward religious communities.
Weaker sections as defined at 2(e) are children belonging to weaker economic categories that the appropriate governments have to notify, based on a minimum annual income of the parents/guardians.

Mostly schools are refusing to tell the date of draw in their schools. They are hiding the informations. How are you as minister ensure the fare admission process while there is no any notification or circular for schools to display the dates of draw.

Mandeep ji, plz check schedule of admission or within the guidelines/instructions of that school. It must have been written. I have checked DPS MR, DPS Rohini, Sardar Patel, Modern Air Force etc. it was there.

Dear Ashu,

I completely understand & concur with most of the argument. I 100% agree with your frustration you are displaying regarding reserved categories.

Just that, very humbly I would want to ask you that don't you think, asking people on this forum belonging to these categories directly the questions on whether they morally feel okay about it, is a bit rude?

I would have expressed this like, "a person who is a doctor on this forum....." or "a person on this forum earning 6 lakhs a year....". No fault of these people. They are legally allowed, then why not as well use that opportunity.

It's a complete govt's fault & failure of their policies with a very bad stink of vote bank politics. 

Just my 2 cents, please don't take any offence.

Yash Sir: I understand your point of view.. I am against the reservation being offered to the children of the parents who have already been benefited from the quota..Who do you think will help us? The current govt? Recently Mr. Yogendra Yadav was speaking that they want to seek more quota for lower castes.. Why? Mr. Arvind Kejriwal wants to issue more Autos for SC/ST category..Why?

The problem is Rich don't need any help, Govt extends hands for the Poor its the middle class which suffers the most even after paying maximum amount of Tax. Middle class do not benifit from anything and takes all the hit and God know when will there be a Govt or Institutions to realize and help middle class instead of favouring Rich or including Poors due to quotas and reservations.

Tanwar ji, I am residing in East Delhi- Pandav Nagar area and had applied in about 25 schools from which only two schools are giving the information of draw. Others all are saying that draw dates are not yet fixed in our schools.

Mandeep ji, if it is so, then really shocking. something needs to be done. I am more specifically watching south Delhi schools. Anyway good luck.

I am based in South Delhi and applied around 20 schools but only 3-4 schools mentioned Draw schedule.

Most of the schools mentioned 28th Feb for displaying 1st list of selected condidates.
