Parents are requested to not put generic queries but contribute with admission details if they are aware of any school.This would help parent community only and not break the continuity.

How justified it is for schools to call parents for verification of the original documents, even when they are not sure weather their children will be getting admission in that particular school.!!!!

I think it is and is not justified :-)

Is = as people who will not come for verification OR who has forged the docs will be out of the race. This will give opportunity to deserving candidates and increases probability for some lucky ones

Is not = as ideally the verification should happen only after the child is shortlisted. My view: all the schools should ask for attested docs only.

The problem with this is that notary in our country attest docs without even seeing the originals !! Hence schools try to mitigate the risk early by doing an extra exercise.

@Dr Kaur: Personally, I feel this is better for the parents. Sometimes, the schools allocate points wrongly due to clerical errors/technical errors etc. It is best to know and rectify such errors as soon as possible rather than waiting till the end, having your name picked up in the draw of lotteries, your name coming up for payment of fees and then the candidature getting rejected saying it was all a big clerical error. I have been through all this last year - trust me when I say I wouldn't ever want this to happen to any other parent!
