AS WE ARE DOING THIS FROM LAST 3-4 YRS WE WOULD BE FOLLOWING THE MAIN TREND, THE ADMISSIONS INFORMATION WOULD ALSO BE AVAILABLE ON THE DELHI ADMISSION OPEN GROUP ALSO, AS SOME TIMES PARENTS ARE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THIS THREAD

@Mahima: I wonder how the Govt came up with the 25% number? I feel all quotas should be proportionate to the number of applications that have come in. So if there are 5000 applications in all with 3000 from General category, 1000 EWS, 500 Sibling and 500 Alumni, the proportion should be 60% General, 20% EWS, 10% Alumni and Sibling each. Fair and square all around!

Is it necessary that a parent should be available for the draw of lots in school? Or can we see the list on website later on.

rashi - answer is school specific. Some schools allow only names of those parent's who're present for lottery. The majority do not require parent's to be present

Bal Bharti public school dwarka was suppose to declare the schedule for verification of documents on 1st feb but they have pre-poned it. Some other schools have also pre-poned it. Why are the schools pre-poning their result?

rashi: I think all schools want to beat the High Court Deadline and procure fees from parents for their admissions. If the court decision on Feb 10th is against Formal education at 3+, schools have already acheived their monetary targets for the year :)

so all in all we the GENERAL class is always there to PAY...for the schools... the taxes....the admission forms even....

BBPS Pitampura update for EWS category as of today:

FOR EWS CATEGORY As per the court ruling dated 18-1-2012, the lottery for EWS category has been postponed till further orders by the court. Please check website/notice board of the school after 15-2-2012.

FOR ALUMNI CATEGORY The draw of lots will be held on 21st January 2012 at 10.00 am.

FOR SIBLING CATEGORY The draw of lots will be held on 21st January 2012 at 12.00 pm.

FOR GENERAL CANDIDATES Due to space constraint and the number of applications being more than 4000, only one of the parent is requested to be present for the draw of lots to be held on 30th January 2012 at 4.00 pm.
