ST.GREGORIOS PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL
ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND SCHEDULE FOR
PRE-SCHOOL FOR THE YEAR 2012-13

ELIGIBILITY: Age 3+ onMarch 31, 2012
(Date of Birth should be “Between” 1st April 2008 and 31st March 2009)
Issue of forms: – Forms can be downloaded from our website from 2nd January to 10th January 2012.

Submission of forms
# The filled in forms should be submitted from 12th January to 16th January 2012 between 9 am to 12 noon in the school office at Plot No.112 to 147, VikasVihar West, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi along with Rs.25/-(application cost).
# Original certificates should not be attached.
# Parents who are applying under EWS quota should submit certificate issued by the SDM for income proof at the time of submission. Afterwards SDM certificates will not be accepted.
EWS category can download form from Website: www.edudel.nic
Forms for EWS category can also be collected from School office at Plot No.112 to 147, Vikas Vihar West, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi from 12th January to 10th January 2012 between 9 am to 12 noon.

Please provide me with an affidavit format for Twin Children (Boy & Girl) and will me daughter be considered as a First child.
Also please let me know whether we need to get multiple affidavits made or only one will suffice.

I am applying for my first born child;boy. By lookig at the point system mentioned in forms, concluded that with no alumni points, no sibling points, no chrisitian points, no sikh points, no single parent points, no special needed child points, no girl child points, no EWS, only neighbourhood points in very few anf first born points ,and there will be many on the border line having equal neighbourhood points and first born child. By talking to parents, came to know that one school asked for 3 lakhs, some 4 lakhs , some 5 lakhs, some 8 lakhs to cross the boundary of getting in. I am in really in panic state , have already applied for 25 schools (best, moderate). We both are software engineers , working in reputed comapanies on good post and have never spend even a single rupee for donation on our study. But now by looking at the situation , it seems I have to give donation which is against my principle if I want my child to get admitted into good school. I agree that there should not be bias against parnets qualification and all but now it seems by removing those points, schools have increased the seats against which they can take donations.
Do shools take in students on genuine basis with no alumni or sibling score?

I have got a news from News Channel "DELHI AAJ TAK" @ 3 PM Broadcast stating that now the age criteria for pre nursery is 3+ where as getting an admission in Nursery is 4+. IT IS ABSURD. this is what I have to say. I have taken a leave from work from the last 3 days, since then I have been running pillar to post to get admission forms from various schools for my ward who is 3+ in Nursery & not this is the verdict. I would request you all to please suggest that 1) What do we do with the admission forms 2) Are the schools accept the existing forms for my ward who is 3+ on March 31st, 2012 3) What will happen to the money which I have spent for buying the forms and where I have paid Amity Saket for admission fee 4) Can you please send us now the list of schools who have pre nursery where same admission forms which we have filled can be submitted so that we don't have to go through the same drill next year. I need your help...

Who has given this verdict? I thought the HC had given a verdict in Dec that the age for pre-school (nursery) would be 3+. There is another verdict expected on 6th Jan about KG admissions/promotions. But the verdict you have mentioned comes as a surprise. Can you please elaborate on what pre-nursery is?

Sandeepan, High Court has not given ANY verdict in December. There is no confusion for KG admissions/promotions. The question is what is the correct age for starting Formal education in schools? Ganguly committee report (also supported by Delhi Govt) says 4+ is the right age. If this is the case, and the High Courts uphold this verdict on the 6th, parents MIGHT have to stand in queue for admissions again next year to "formal schooling"

Correct. The verdict on 24/12 was that 3+ is ok for nursery admissions. The verdict on 6th will be to decide whether the same process for KG next year will be followed or will this year's entrants be granted automatic promotions to KG from Nursery.
