Nupur - it is a very coordinated syndicate. Even I was shocked last year. The agents have divided Delhi into Zones. You will have one agent for each Zone along with his sub-agents (the ones who meet you outside the school gate). The demand of 5 Lakhs now will go up to 10 Lakhs once the first list comes out! If you are thinking along these lines, my personal advice is to act now!

JP, it's a question of demand and supply. Given the criticality of things like education, health etc, how many of us have the strength to take a high moral ground when faced with these situations (admissions to schools, getting a license etc)? The costs we have to pay for not toeing the line are significantly higher.

Please advise if I should register my child's name for nursery or prep admission as my child will be 4 years and 1 month on 31st of 2012 (born on 25/2/2008). I was refused to give admission form by Faith Academy school located in prasad nagar karol bagh, there could be more schools following the same pattern.

Dear Sakshi, Ramjas school, Pusa Road website has corrupted admission form. Do we need to go to school for collection of the forms..
Please share if someone had got the admission related information.

The admission form u r referring to is not for Nursery/KG

also that means go to school collect the form

Madam after entering & confirming the details in the online form of DPS Mathura Road, they show an option for the stamp size photo of the child along with the parents. Is that for the print out only because I do not have the snaps in my PC. What should be done now ???? Please guide.

What is the point distribution for Pragati????? It is not even mentioned on website.

Is this a good school to be considered?

@ Anand, its not so easy to shed such huge amount at one go ....not easy for everyone...
getting education has become so difficult ..never faced such pressure while looking for job ..
Don't know where will we end up...

@Nupur: Personally, I don't find anything different in so called prestigious schools vis-a-vis other schools. Students from all schools ulitmately attend coaching classes when it comes to the real crunch 10th standard onwards. However, some parents are stuck on the schools and are willing to fork out anything (and some more)! It is a tough scenario, but the important thing is to not get disappointed if you do not get a call from a school of your picking!

@ Anand, u know am facing this admission crunch not from Jan but from August'11 as am from Indirapuram which is in Ghaziabad...tried there were no almost all schools hav closed admission...didn't get through now looking for east delhi options..as that is nearby to my place but there also limited school ply bus to our place..tough one....
God knows whats in store ..
can't go for sooo expensive schools & don't want to go for average schools with no good academic records....
