not have to wait till the end of the month for the first list of nursery admissions. Many schools are coming out with the lists before the last date.

According to Directorate of Education (DOE) guidelines, the last date for the first list is January
31.

DPS International, Saket, will bring out the list on January 18, GD Goenka, Dwarka, on January 28, Tagore International School on January 27 and ASN International School, Mayur Vihar on January 21.

While this has reduced the anxiety of some parents, others are a little worried.

"The schools that are coming out with their results early are asking us to submit admission fees before January 31. In some schools, the fee is very high. I do not know if I should submit the fee and block the seat or wait for results of other schools as it involves a lot of money," said Rajan Verma, a resident of Patparganj, who works with an NGO.

While the fee is refundable as per DOE guidelines, schools take a month to return the money.

"Many parents do not have the kind of bank balance required to block seats in multiple schools. Also, schools deduct admissions fees , registration fees and tuition fee for a month while the rest is refunded," said Sumit Vohra, who runs the portal admissionsnursery.com.

No its not school specific ,this DOE circular and is valid for all the schools and more over, some schools are taking advantage of something printed in good faith ,else why all respectable school are coming out on 1st of FEB with results ?

I think it's you to read the guidelines properly. Mr.Sumit Vohra and Sakshi Mam have more knowlegde than myself and you who are fighting for regulations in nursery admission process in all means. So try to understand the meaning of "Schools flouting DOE guidelines" and it's functioning.

You & Me are surely less knowledgable. That is why I had requested Sakshi Mam to Recheck but she did not reply. Now Mr Sumit has made the point clear.

But the confusion again remains >>> NO single date for all schools & parents have to keep hunting for seats.

Plz try to understand, if a school makes draw & displays list for both category on 27th & asks you to submit fees by 31st you still need to take loan for other schools.
The flouting case is different as pointed out by Mr Sumit. Many (not all) respectable schools are displying list on 1st feb. which is the last date as per DOE.

ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD COME UP WITH THEIR FIRST LIST WITH IN THE SAME SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD, SO THAT PARENTS HAVE RIGHT OPTION TO CHOOSE FROM DIFFERENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE. AND THIS WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE WILL REDUCE ALL OTHER PARENTS TENSION. WE HAVE APPLIED TO 16 SCHOOLS SO FAR AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR ONE OUT OF 3-4 FOUR GOOD SCHOOLS. IN THIS CASE WE MAY HAVE TO TAKE ADMISSION ON FIRST COME FIRST LIST IN 2-3 SCHOOLS TO GET THE DESIRED OPTION FINALLY. WE REQUEST MR. VOHRA AND OTHER'S PARENT'S TO BE UNITE AND APPEAL TO ALL SCHOOLS TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST LIST AT SAME TIME IN ORDER TO REDUCE TENSION,WORRIES AND TIME.

@ Puneet we also want that but ,we require more info to escalate the issue
one parent informed us that indian school and some other schools are also coming with results in jan only (mount carmel) if parents come with big names we can try our best

yes Sakshi, Indian school 1st list will come on 21st Jan (fee deposit in 48hrs), Mount Carmel 27th Jan and we have to deposit fees in 24hours time, Tagore International 27th, Amity,Saket 31st Jan
