2 Schools won case in HC and doe did not any calender for general cat last year.. No fixed dates and free for all admissions started on different dates from 15 Dec to End of. JAN..check link on. Footer or top box for last year admissions details
3 You will get updates on email for every established school also follow this single thread as admissions start after nov

Hello everyone, I'm Ajay and proud father to a 4 year old boy. Last week I joined the forum and asked a question if the school admissions everywhere are starting after Nov. 2015 for the 2016-17 session for certain? There is no exception of any school starting admissions earlier by any chance? I'm still waiting for a reply in anticipation so please lend a helping hand!

Some one or two school flout the guidelines but people who take Admissions might be in prb .
As Aap govt is planning to amend 1973 education act and bring new nursery guidelines ...any Admissions before that is illegal.
Even if they donot come with the bill..the case is in court.
So either DOE or Schools Association will declare the dates.

We just got one parent informing about st marks meera bagh but it was there play school beanstalk starting Admissions.

Parents can go at own risk .

The reply was very quick. Thanks for the same Sakshi. It was revealing information to me and most important as well. I had no idea about the bill and feel very awkward sharing it in the forum. So the admission forms are not available yet for schools in Delhi. I live near Hauz Khas Metro Station so I'm still wondering which school to apply in for admissions to nursery but I have downloaded the Excel Sheet for this purpose. Also, St. Marks is not suitable and was thinking on the lines of St.Columbas, Gol Dak Khana being an alumni myself of the school. What is your opinion? Should the distance pose as a problem?

Yes ajay..most of the parents are not aware of bill.
First we need to wait for guidelines
St Columbus starts from kg min 4 yrs on 31 mar
Distance is always one of the main criteria
See last year school specific criteria at the footer or click at the link given on text box on top.
Last year school Association won the case and every school had their own criteria
Govt wants to bring uniform criteria

Thanks Sakshi. Yes, last year the schools won the case and I beleive St.Columbas was the first school to get the stay order on the guidelines on criteria for school admissions with other schools following suit. Implementation of the amendments would make any admission already made illegal and the entire process would fall under the new guidelines. Are there any sites displaying the details of the proposed amendments of 1973 education act? Just to keep oneself informed of the ongoings and it would help in making some crucial decisions should one find themselves in a fix in the matter.

Minority schools have got autonomy earlier in different case ..so st Columbus is a minority school
NOW if 1973 education act is amended by law .
All cases would be null and void.
Now we need to wait and watch ..what proposal ... bill govt brings and whether it brings minority school under the ambit or not .
