PARENTS STILL BEING TESTED ,DESPITE BAN------ INDIAN EXPRESS DATED 30 SEP 2010 - PARENTS OF ADMISSIONSNURSERY.COM /UNION HRD MINISTER KAPIL SIBALS VIEW/MR VOHRA RAISES PARENTS VIEWS ON DRAW OF LOTS
If the Ganguly comitte report is valid since 1st Apr 2010 then why schools are taking the interaction. There is no point system as far as Gurgaon schools are considerd. and the schools are not at all transparent. Suncity is one school which has made parents fill up the questionare and then shortlist parents based on that.. again what is the criteria for shortlisting is now shared with parents and then there will be interaction followed by final admission list.. isnt this a bit of torture.. secondly i agree with many the schools are tryng to make money by selling as many fors as possible.. if they hve 100 seats they should not be allowed to sell more than 150 forms.....
Hi Poonam,
Ganguly committee recommendations are applicable for Delhi NCT (National Capital Territory) and not for NCR area, from the session of 2007-08, that is why majority of Delhi schools go with the criteria laid in the Report.
We at Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad & Ghaziabad are not seeing these criteria, as schools here are not mandated by these recommenadtions.
My point was this-as Right to Education Act (RTE) 2009 is now in force across India as per union Govt. order, then all schools will sooner or later have to follow the RTE norms...
I wish...it will be a good point for the standardisation of admission process pan India if RTE also consider Ganguly committe recommendations and make them mandatory for all schools acroos any nook and corner of our country.
