Please share your views whether the age criteria shud be 3 yrs + or 4 yrs + on 31 mar
we are getting mixed views regarding age criteria .some parents feel 3 yrs very small age
and others feel its perfect age as kids are very intelligent these days
pls share pros and cons

I strongly believe that 4+ is the right age for nursery admissions.Also it should be 4+as on sep 31st.

i feel 3 years is the right age for kids to go to the formal school. nowadays even the playschools take kids at the age of 2.

I also agree with Mr. Devender that age should be 4 years for nursery and after completing nursery the next class should be First. if the age is 3+ or 3.5 then the timings and pattern of study for kids should be changed.

mental trauma???? if you feel so wait for another year to have your kid admitted to school no one is forcing you..

The age 4+ will create problems as children having age close to 5 will also be admitted during that period only...Now a child will complete his 10+2 by 19yr's and grads and let say PG by 25-26 yr's, whiich is too late....that means he is actually 1-2 yr's late than children studying in NCR or other states.....or suppose he chooses to be a Doctor or PhD, then again he is tooo late...
In todays world of competition, when TV has good a bad effect on their minds, we are giving them too much of time to grow up and be independent...
So its not a good idea for the child to get admitted in 4+...Instead 3+ is much better.....

It is very much right that 3+years is very small for kids to attend school. They are very small. There should be 4+years to begin their school life. As the pressure mount on them with so many books at tthe initial stage, so it should be 4+years for their admission in Nursery.

Who says that it is the only mental pressure when they are being admitted to nursery in a school...it is actually a fun + learning + learn to make friends ....a child of age 2-3 normally lives in his own world...after crossing 3 only, he/she starts realising that he can make friends around, start questioning too many things suddenly....
Moreover a 1 yr period is sufficient for a kid to be in play school....if the age becomes 4+, then this gap of play school will be increased....
thus 3+ is always better and has been followed by many schools in India...we should not follow west in this sense of age as brain wise we are the best...the things which we lack is removing corruption, unity, no raising of voice by common man...after this huge blunder of commonwealth and 2G auctions also, not a single comman man is raising its voice...but in this small matter of increasing the age everyone is too worried without reasonss

it should be 3.5+ / 4 years, 3 yrs childrens are too small to handle a formal school.

pls go through nursery syllabus of different schools ... u'll get to know ...sending our kids to play school at the age of 2 is not right ... see we follow wht others do ... this can only be stopped when the govt will interefere
