Points for minority community

Sir/Madam
In some schools points are given for being in minority community like Jains. If the mother of the child is from minority but father is not , whether child would be eligible for those minority points .

You can apply with mother's proof.

What type of proof we need ... My husband is Jain by caste and the proof is of Orissa state ... Can we still put it here
