Your son is eligible for nursery in formal school, as most of schools in Noida takes min 3 yrs.

Hi Sakshi, 

Thanks for the reply. Since my son hasn't had any form of schooling yet, we were hoping to get him admitted this year to a play school (pre nursery/nursery) so he is able to get on par with other students and adjust. We are planning to apply in all major schools for the next academic year.

In case of Footprints, I was not very satisfied with the infrastructure (seemed like a franchise with owner's residence at the upper floors), while Ravi's Noddy doesn't provide things like CCTV/app based oversight for parents. Shri Ram of course seems too expensive. That's why I wanted a second opinion.

Many leading schools in Noida have upper age cut off of 4 yrs

Few schools don't have upper age cut off.

So next year your son won't be eligible for nursery.

You can check details in last year thread link given above and getting admission in KG is good school is not easy.

Most of children in Delhi NCR did not go to playschool in last two years due to Covid.

Rest final call is yours.

Footprints has been  popular  as mentioned by few parents earlier.

Hi Sakshi,

your message was an eye opener. I was under the impression that there is just a minimum age of 3 years and not a maximum age as such for nursery admissions (me and my husband come from outside of Delhi NCR where preprimary was never a big concern).  

If possible for you, could you please help me with a few options now? From what I understand, nursery admission in formal school is the best bet for us. Do you have any idea which schools we could target for this academic year tat may still consider admissions? 

Really looking forward to your help here.

No need to panic.

Admissions start June onwards and no fixed admission calendar.

You son is eligible for next year admissions 2023-24.

Pls see Noida thread link given above for tentative dates and age criteria.
