Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2026-27

Presence of Child is required at the time of nursery admission?

I wish to know that presence of child and her mother shall be required at the time of applying for admission. Since my wife and baby may be travelling abroad for six months and they may not be available at the time submitting applications for nursery admission. I am father of child.

kindly advice me and share your experience.

i am also looking for this info, i m specially concerned abt schools which are based on lottery in gurgaon, in my case me, my kid and wife are all abroad

can my brother fill the forms?

@Rajat but they might be online so you can fill d forms but if school allows GUARDIAN column your brother can also fill but you need 2-3 things

1 Address Proof ( Might be exempted in new schools)

2 Your Physical Presence along with kid in most of d schools ( only delhi schools exempts screening)

But at what stage is presence required - i mean filling of forms, submission of forms or during admission process when child is selected

Rajat, After submission of forms, some schools call shortlisted /All Kids for interaction.Max chances are in sep-oct (school specific)

U R Right but wait and see how many schools do lottery . few schools did lottery like dps /dav /heritage etc but rest of them did interaction .

but every year rules change (after rte implementation)

so need to wait for forms.

Actually I am staying at Delhi and wish to get admit my child at Delhi. Does presence of child required at the time of admission?

Dear Anurag

In Delhi as per RTE , no school can do screening of your child and 95 % schools follow this.(exceptions are always there ) so presence of child is NOT REQUIRED in Delhi school at the time of admissions !!
