Point System will be okay

don't know the details but ZEE news is showing it would be point system that includes sibling, alumni, single parent & transfer cases. 20% management quota. Rest i thing we can get to know after the final declaration by Mr. Lovely

when will the guidelines be out and when will the forms be out :(

hi even i am waiting for the suspense to get over..@ Mr Avinash the guidelines are coming out today itself at 3'o clock but the forms will be out after 1st jan.

all the guidelines of DOE are placed on the link below

http://www.edudel.nic.in/new_circulars/7211_7222_dt_15122010.html

thank you Mr Pawan for putting the link here..

most of the parents are still stuck

they should have given point to single children as many opts for one child now

Just read the circular at http://www.edudel.nic.in/new_circulars/7211_7222_dt_15122010.html

Last two lines of the para 2 read as "..Selection should be on Random Basis..", although there can be some categories. does that mean there would be no point criterion.

I don't understand. With the criteria for single parent, transfer cases, siblings, etc. This constitutes less than 5% of the general population. How about us 'general' people? I guess we're left to the mercy of schools as they now get a free hand in granting admission on whatever other criteria they want..

I understand sibling, but can anyone help me understand how and why kids of alumni should be given preference? Do schools want to cater to specific families only??

I fully support G singh ji...the criteria which schools have decided is just covering few %age of population...what abt all other parents who are not falling under any of these criteria...where we r going to land up now...what criteria they will follow for children who doesn't fall in any of these category?...Sumit ji if you have any idea pls let us know?

Thanks, Are we sure that the forms will be out after 1st Jan.

Regards,

Avinash

Does that mean, there will be seats reserved for every category ? and then amongst each category - how will they select students
