Qualifications of the parents

Hi,

I want to know if the quality of the education of the parents matter? For example, if someone holds an IIT and IIM degree, would they help in getting admission or would they be just counted as another PG?

Qualifications have zero points as per RTE but some schools like appejay etc do indirect screening in name of RAA

Many schools ask for educational qualification/salary/post etc. However, as per RTE, they cannot assign any points for the same.

Hence, they don't matter in admission.
