Query about Birth Certificate

I have birth certificate of my son but the name is not mentioned on the certificate.

Tell me, the name on the birth certificate is necessary or not.

Few schools ask for name of the child in the birth certificate. So better get the entry of the name of the child in birth certificate.

In case the registration of the birth has been done without name of the child, the name can be entered free of cost within 1 year either orally, or in writing. After 1 year but within a period of 15 years name, can be entered on payment of Rs. 5/- as late fee.

In the year of registration, name will be entered either at the Registration Centre or Zonal Office where registration of birth was made and after 1 year, it will be registered at the concerned zonal office only.
