Hi. I had a query which is apparent from the discussion title.

If my child gets selected in the first list in a school and is in the waiting list/second list etc. of a school which is nearer or more preferred. What is normally done . Admit the child in the school where the child is selected in the first list?? ( Bird in hand concept).

If that is the case what is the remedy in case name comes up in the 2nd list in the preferred school.

My query is only for views gathered from past experience from various other concerned parents, and not in the nature of seeking any sacrosanct opinion or advice.
