Question: Child Admission in Gurgaon School 2021-22

Respected All,

I would request you admin/others, would you please help me to understand school admission criteria.

Presently he is in play school, but because of covid, my family staying in my native place .

like:

My Son Age: 03-05-2016 (Age will be 4 year 9 month as on 1 Apr 2021)

Will he qualified for Nursery/LKG/UKG or what?

Some website shows only LKG admission etc.

unable to understand. Looking for economical schools.

My present location is Sector 10A, Gurgaon.

Schools use different nomenclature.

Pre -School=Nursery=LKG

PREP=Pre-Primary=KG=UKG

Age is flexible in Gurgaon.

Some schools takes Min 3 yrs for Nursery others takes Min 3yrs 6 months on 31 Mar 2021.

See list of schools where your ward is eligible for KG ( Admission in Traditional schools for KG on wards start Dec on wards but many New age schools have vacancy not all) School specific and you need to contact school individually.

Rest schools where you eligible in Nursery ( some schools have upper age cut of of 4.5 yrs on 31mar 2021).

Admissions in most of the traditional school are over but you can try in few New Age School where admission are still open

Few more clarification please,

Lets say my child age is 4.4 month as of now, okay, is he eligible for Nursery/LKG OR UKG?

So that I shall discuss with school about admission in UKG, further he has not started schooling yet means has not completed LKG then how school will accept admission in UKG?

In Short:

If I go with age, he is eligible for UKG

If I go with step, he should start with LKG (some schools say child age between ABC to XYZ, any my child is not fall in such bracket, does it mean, he is not eligible for LKG?

Confused which class admission to be taken and/or which class my child is eligible now?
