St. Thomas School Dwarka has issued a circular which states following:
As your are well aware that Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Directorate of Education has issued orders for implementation of 7th CPC in Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi w.e.f. from 1-1-16 vide order no. DE/15 (318) PSB/201619786 dated 17th October 2017. The school Managing committee in presence of DOE nominee and as per guidelines of DOE has approved the following revised tuition fee w.e.f. December 2017(kindly see the attachment).
Further to pay arrears to the staff for the period 1st January 2016 to 30th November 2017one time arrear of tuition fee amount to Rs. 8385 per student has to be made. The fee arrears will be collected in two equal installments which shall be as under
First installment Date
Rs. 4193 31.01.2018
Rs. 4192 30.04.2018
The question is how justifiable is the collection of arrears. This acts as a shock to most parents. Also school was increasing the fees @10% yearly which is already more than the rate of inflation. How is this increase in fees is justifiable.
