harpreet IP, paschim vihar was some other school 2-3 years back....it was taken over by IP. Bt the staff n children are same....its an above average school when we talk about these new schools with progressive learning. KRM is better, i think

Thanks Manasi, one more thing Indraprastha is giving almuni points to those parents who had studied from St Xavier. What relation IP is having with St Xavier?

@Harpreet: Is IP a Christian missionary? As far as I know, there are only 2 branches of Xavier's in Delhi. Ryan says they're a branch of St Xavier's Mumbai .. is this IP claiming something similar? Can you find out which branch of Xavier's is being considered for Alumni points?

@Anand, IP is not christian missionary but SChool is giving Almuni points to St Xavier parents & just few min back, Mansi has told that IP, Paschim Vihar was acquired from some other school. may be before it was St Xavier & IP has acquired it. Not sure.

Both of these schools are almost comparative to each other in terms of academics as well as extra curriculars... depending on the distance from your residence you can take the final call...

Dear Sakshi/ Sumit Ji,

I am amazed at what the top notch schools are up to. On this forum itself i read a couple of parents post a remark stating that their wards have been selected in Amrita Vidyalam as they were called for verification.

Since the past 10 days me and my husband have been visiting the school regularly for any information but every time we were told that the list will be out on 1st Feb and we should wait.

Today when our patience ran out we tried a different tactic. We went to the school and instead of inquiring about the list we told them that we have been called for verification of original documents for admission, upon this we were admitted inside the school and the admission in-charge spoke to us and checked our child's name in the list.

The name was obviously not there, but it did tell us what the school is up to....

They are looking at the income of parents and then calling them for final verification. The point system or the draw of lots does not exist for Amrita Vidyalam.

This school is hardly 2 Km's from our residence but still we have faield to qulaify for the school as our income does not match up to the HIGH standrads of the school.

Request you to please suggest what do we do. We have applied to 26 schools for our Twins but don't see the hope in any of them.

There has to be either draw or points system in place for admissions, otherwise on what basis they are calling parents for verification . Still if you feel, please do lodge formal complaint about this.

Calling parents just on the basis of Income will definitively put school in troubled waters.
