I am also sailing in the same boat.  Though I am staying in South Delhi my child did not get selected for the nearest school inspite of getting higher points.  I dunno wats d criteria for selection.  'totally helpless.

 i am also facing same situation..... staying in South Delhi. selected in only Guru Harkishan and Surajbhan DAV.. wht should i do.. m totally confused.

@Tanmeet: I have three schools on my lane and 2 of the best schools within 1 Km of my house. It is ironic that my kid travels 7.5 Kms every day since he couldn't make it through any of the "neighbourhood" schools! Don't go by the fallacy that you will get selected in the nearest school

@tanmeet: Where do you stay? Usually the General Category candidates start getting calls only from second list on-wards (early second week of Feb). The first list is entirely for siblings and Alumni only with the exception of Bal Bharti this year where they chose to reserve seats across all categories!
