Well they do, after all they have to maintain their brand name but so does, all the second/third league (like Banyan!) schools.

Overall, I feel Banyan tree can't even come closer to DPS. I am purely looking at it holistically.

Go with DPS, don't think too much!

Cheers,

Abhishek

Am confused with Goenka.. can anyone tell me some pros and cons of this school, that may help me in deciding on this.. thanks

Pros: Individual focus, excellent infra, safety of the child, good peer group (read affluent families), focus on extra-curricular, care and so on!

Cons: Peer pressure (you will have to match up with the standard later on), expensive (loosen your purse string), comparatively less focus on academics, tendency to compare etc.

This is what I feel!

Cheers,

Abhishek

certainly DPS mathura road.....

I am now worried for my son's admission next year..things are pretty tight. I randomly looked at 5-6 school results list, to my surprise the ratio of tots got totally skewed to the worse (as bad as75% girl : 25% boys). Lovely points are flawed and biased toward gender which automatically puts my son to disadvantageous position without any of his or his parent's fault.

Dr. Pramanik

Be very scared Doctor - if he's the first son, non alumni, non sibling, no contacts - his chances of getting through are close to zero!

Yes Anand, the situation is quite scary. Lot of us relocate back to India with young kid tend to forget that the discrimination in many forms is waiting for him. I feel the whole point system is flawed and discriminatory. The point should be given totally on the basis of interaction with the selection committee

Yes Dr. However, having gone through the whole process once, I've now found out that there's a backdoor entry for all General Category NANSP parents! You can actually get hold of an education "consultant" and get your kid through in the school of YOUR choice - only requirement a deep pocket. Rates vary if you contact before forms are out, just after forms are out and after first list is out incrementally. So if you're trying out for next year, NOW is the time to hook onto the consultant of your zone! It is an organised business and the entire Delhi is actually split into Zones with each consultant wielding influence only in his zone! Best of luck ..
Yes thats true. i also contacted one consultant Rate for DPS ronini is 4.5 Lakhs and Apeejay Pitampura is 2.5 Lakhs
@ Anand Sharmaji: would it be possible to mail me the consultant details at anantharaman_n@indiatimes.com (for my own use and for other parents next year)? Thanks!
Sure sir. i will send it .
Anand, That is a good suggestion. It will be great if you can fwd me the contact details of education consultant of my zone (Dwarka). pramanik_kallal@yahoo.de. Thank you. Kallal
