@Saket........ if u can afford.....go for DPSI....far far better from St Pauls/St Mary.....no second thought in this regard

i got my son admitted to manava bharati school, panchsheel park on february 02, 2012.

later he was selected in another school in the second list, so i got him admitted their.

but today my wife went to submit the withdrawal application, as within 1 month atleast some amount can be refunded. 

But school guard didnt allowed my wife to enter the school. however, on repeated request he allowed to speak to the accounts section and where they categorically tell that no acknowledgement will be given but application would be processed in 10 days.

 i am not really sure what evidence i have if school refuses to process the application within the prescribed time and even that we have submitted the application.

also i sent a mail to their id info@manavabharati.net given on their website, but failure notice was sent that the mail has been permanently failed.

Hi Sakshi

Can you pls let me know how we can claim refund of fees . Since even after submission of application , school is refusing stating that we could claim the refund in 1 week only after deposition of fees.

“The circular issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi, said there have been several complaints by parents regarding non-refund of fees and other charges by unaided recognised schools in the event of cancellation of admission.

If any fee is collected from the parents or guardians of a child, whose admission is cancelled…, the entire fee except registration fee charges shall be refunded.

It also said that if the parents chose to withdraw the child from the school within one month from the date of admission, the school shall refund the entire amount of fee or other charges within 15 days of the request made by the parents.

However, the school may retain some fees such as the registration fee, administration fee and one month’s tuition fee, according to the circular.”

Can schools decide the date when they want to process refund?

About 10 days back, I gave an application to St. Thomas, Dwarka for cancellation of admission and they told me that refund will be processed after 15th March'2012.  Is this in accordance with the DOE guidelines?

Mandeep, no they have to refund within 15 days as per doe circular.but normally 

it takes 1-2 months

Can someone please help me choose between Heritage Vasant Kunj and Bloom Public School Vasant Kunj

@ Rishab.. Bloom is excellent school for academics +small infra

but Heritage is over hyped ( parents known to our founder for south delhi branch are not happy on academics front else ..good school but again many of our parents want to shift to dps /mothers who kids have crossed primary)

But HONESTLY HERITAGE > BLOOM ( Brand Name + Progressive Learning)

BLOOM>>>>>> HERITAGE (ONLY IN ACADEMICS )
