hi  my daughter got admission in Guru harkishan public school , vasant vihar in nursurery class.when i went to the school on the first day to drop my child I found  it was not up to the mark their transport facility is not good. also, the Kg class ends at 1230 and whereas  the bus starts at 1.15 to take the sr. students. now, from 1230 till 1.15 the child has to remain in the bus.Also, Bus will come at 6.30 in the morning and drops her 2.30 pm in the evening at our stop. We are putting up at kalkaji . Now , iam in dilemma & thinking about to take her out  and put her nearby by playschool (Oxford Kids)which has Kg class. shall i put her in oxford kids ?? or shall i go for GHPS. Kindly guide us what to do??TKS

Our is also similar problem with Hans Raj Model School, Punjabi Bagh. School Bus comes at 7 in the morning & in afternoon, school ends at 12:30 but goes to sr school which ends at 1 pm & then comes back at our stop at 1:45pm. Many of the parents on our route has taken the matter in written to the school management, they have assured to start RTVs after summer holidays which will leave junior school at 12:30 & reach back around 1pm.

I would suggest you should also speak to the parents on your route & take the matter to school management. Alternatively you can opt for Van/Cab. Taking your child out of formal school & then again going through the admission procedure once again next year is not a good idea as per me. Rest is your choice.

Torture for 3 year olds..... That’s what we all were discussing on the age issue in lots of threads in this forum. In our time there was no such hustle as formal schools were to start from 1st class, before that there were small small Montessori in each area for pre-schools....what a wonderful time for kids that was.....Govt and Court both quashed great people efforts of implementing Ganguly report to its real motive just for earning more and more black money for their own kids and grand/ great grand kids.

@Harvinder, if I were at your place, first I would try for a safe private cab and if not found I would have taken my kid out of that school and put him in a good play school nearest to my residence. Already I have chosen the same option. But that just me you should follow your own instinct.

thanks all of you for your kind views!! I am really in a mess. Today i didn't send her to school we are trying hard to get her into any nearby school for a year & then we can try our luck next year!

You are the best judge in this case but i second or echo Om Santosh Arora's comments

You can try to cut down the travel or wait time by checking the feasibility of dropping or picking the child yourself for few days as in any case after 20-25 days summer holidays will start and in meantime as other members said try to search for a reliable private cab

Why i am saying this we all have gone through the trauma of 2-3 months selecting the best school for our kid and next year might be the same situation

This is just a thought , you are the best person to decide for your kid though

Hi can anybody help me in getting email id of dav - sreshtha vihar school, as i send emails on the email address provided on school's website, it bounced back. On enquiring to school on phone, their reception dont know any id and they even cant transfer the line to principal's office. Actually I want to pursue for fee refund request.........getting no response. Pl help

Springdales , Dhaula Khuwa is inviting parents to attend the  lottery to be held today (Friday 20th April )   at 2:30 PM in their campus for 2 nos of vacant seats. The details are available in their website. I should offer my sincere thanks to the School authority to intimate us over phone. Obviously this is one of the reasons, why Springdales is one of the finest schools  in  the country.

Though our daughter got selected in Sadhu Vaswani International Schools for girls and attending , I am not sure whether I should switch to this school or not ( obviously if I m one of the luckiest ). Suggestions is awaited .
