SchoolEx on the 10th and 11 Aug 2013 for 2014-2015 session at Epicentre, Gurgaon

Dear Parents

As you must be aware that most of the schools start or declare the dates for admissions in Gurgaon Schools by Aug end  ( except very few). Last year in the school exhibition,many established,new and play school participated.

Many schools did the registration in last SchoolExhibition (SchoolEx )at Epicentre and Some very well established schools sold /distributed LIMITED forms .

1 ONE OF THE ESTABLISHED SCHOOL NEVER CAME OUT  WITH FORMS AGAIN.

2 ONE OF THE VERY SOUGHT AFTER SCHOOL NEVER GAVE FORMS BUT WHEN STARTED ADMISSIONS ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVE AND THE FORMS WERE SOLD OUT ON FIRST DAY IN FEW HOURS

So we will suggest you to attend and buy the forms of your desired school (if available) and also know the dates of schools admission starting  dates of all your target school.

THE SCHOOL WHICH SOLD LIMITED FORMS AND NEVER CAME OUT WITH FORMS WAS DPS SUSHANT LOK( LATER  PARENTS INFORMED US THAT REST OF THE SEATS WERE FILLED BY CHILDREN WHO WERE PROMOTED BY THEIR RECENTLY STARTED PLAY SCHOOL APPLE BLOSSOM )

THE SCHOOL WHOSE FORMS WERE SOLD ON FIRST DAY IN FEW   HOURS (ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVE WAS SCOTTISH HIGH) AS PER PARENTS FEEDBACKS  FORMS WERE OVER IN FIRST 3 HOURS.

WE ARE NOT SURE WHETHER THE SAME SCHOOLS WILL FOLLOW SAME POLICY THIS YEAR OR NOT.

Hi Sakshi,

I went to the schoolex today and was rather disappointed. Majority of the good schools havent participated (or is it that half are participating today and the others tomorrow?).

Most of the names that are discussed regularly in these forums like lotus valley, ridge valley, shikshantar, heritage, suncity. scottish high, Amity International etc were no there!!

Completely agree with you..

It was more of a promotion for new n up-coming schools, established schools were not thr.

Seems we are at square 1 once again as no clear dates known as to when forms would be out.. as read in one of the blog that forms got over in a span of 3 hrs which is terrifying.

Moreover it was very chaotic and schools were pushing to buy their forms rather than highlight their distinguishing Factors....only option is to visit each school premises separately. There was no clarity on age riteria too. In one of the posts i read abt kunskapasskolan was they r looking for 3 y 3 months but today their representative told me 3 y 6m and relaxable till 45 days only.

Hi Venu,

I have also attended the fair. Just for the information I have asked from the registration desk and whether there would be more or different schools tomorrow and they confirmed that the same set of schools will be there tomorrow as well.

I was also looking for schools like DPS-45, Sommerville and few others. But it was actually disappointing.

Very disappointed to attend SchoolEx. There was no information about the participating schools. 

Correct to say, that it was just an introduction of new upcoming schools. No proper guidance about the age criteria. Every school is claiming to follow the CBSE norms, but have different age criteria for nursery admissions. 

DPS- Sushant Lok admissions were just like forcing our child to again go for their play school(Apple Blossoms) even one is attending one presently.

No established schools like Suncity, Shikshantar, Heritage, DAV, DPS- 45 were present there in Schoolex. It was just a waste of time & Effort.
